Among the bred hybrid tea varieties of flowers, the gospel rose stands out. This plant is distinguished by large buds, consisting of many small petals, and a tall stem. The rose exudes a pleasant aroma and is not demanding in care, so this variety is in demand among gardeners. Like other hybrid tea varieties, the Gospel rose is a recent addition. Officially, the plant was included in the appropriate catalog in 1997. The culture appeared thanks to the work of the famous breeder Hans Jürgen Evers.

Gospel rose has the following features:

• bright, densely doubled flowers forming cup-shaped buds;
• flowers are divided into 4 symmetrical sectors;

Gospel rose is called "chameleon" for the original color of the flowers. The hue of the latter changes from cherry to rich burgundy or dark purple, depending on the current weather conditions.

Gospel roses exude a bright and long-lasting fragrance that combines fruity and honey notes. Flowers of this variety appear twice per season. Re-buds bloom in the second half of July. The plant finally blooms towards the end of summer.

This variety stands out from other hybrids due to its increased resistance to temperature extremes (can withstand drops to -23 degrees), drought, abundant watering and common diseases.

3. Rust. The disease develops in mid-spring and provokes the appearance of orange spots on the leaves. In the fight against the disease, the treatment of the shrub with a 2% Bordeaux mixture or a soapy solution helps.
4. Spider mite. A small insect that appears on the underside of leaves in dry weather. To get rid of the mite, the affected parts of the rose must be removed and burned, and the bush should be treated with insecticide 3 times with an interval of one week.
5. Rose aphids. The insect appears in the spring. The rose aphid colony grows rapidly, causing the plant to die. Systemic insecticides help in the fight against insects.

As a preventive measure against infection with infectious diseases, some gardeners do not water shrubs in summer for 2-3 days after the soil dries.

Reproduction

Hybrid tea roses are recommended to be propagated by seedlings, cutting off no more than 10 centimeters from a he althy shoot. This process must be soaked in water for 1-1.5 hours, adding a small amount of potassium permanganate. Then, in the spring, the seedling is planted in an open area.
