The nuances of growing a flower

The best place for the development, growth of roses are sunny, protected from the winds of the place. Seedlings and soil must be prepared in advance.

When and where to plant

The place to place the rose should be sunny, not blown by the winds. The optimal level of soil acidity is 5.4-7.4 pH. After digging a planting hole with a depth of 50-60 cm, drainage is poured into it - it will prevent stagnation of water in the hole. To drain the soil, gardeners resort to the use of gravel, sand.

The planting substrate is prepared with:

  • manure 3 servings;
  • fertile soil 2 servings;
  • peat 1 serving;
  • sand 2 servings.

The first days of May are considered the optimal time for planting Grand Amur roses, at which time the soil is already warmed up by the sun.

Preparation of seedlings

Gardeners recommend purchasing planting material in a nursery, from a trusted seller. Before planting, the rose is inspected for the presence of rot, spotting, and dryness. The open root system is disinfected, soaked in a rooting solution for 24 hours. A rotten, dry root is discarded, the shoots are pruned to stimulate the growth of he althy branches.

Boarding process

The landing process is simple:

  • dig a hole, lay out drainage;
  • fill water, fertilizer;
  • after soaking up the water, place the rose in the hole;
  • the roots are rammed with earth.

Roots and a plant with a soil clod are used for planting. In the first days of spring or autumn, the plant is planted or re-planted. When flowering, the buds are removed. When transferring a bush to a new site, the soil clod on the root system is preserved, the stems are radically cut off.
