The variety got its name from the German city in which the nursery was located.Thanks to the efforts of the scientist, it was possible to create a very unusual variety of a dwarf plant that attracts attention with bright blue needles and a flat cushion-shaped crown.
The tree is characterized by dense and fairly short shoots that grow in different directions. In young seedlings, the crown looks like a nest, but over time it stretches a little upward, acquiring a conical shape.
Slow growth is considered a distinctive feature of the culture. By the age of 10, the plant reaches a height of only 50-60 centimeters. In this case, the diameter of the crown is 80 centimeters. The needles have a silver-gray color and a length of up to 1.5 centimeters. Young needles are distinguished by a rich blue tint, which give the plant an additional decorative effect.
