Features of growing Kemerovo tomato in open ground
The main advantage of this variety is its unpretentiousness in care. To get a good harvest in the future, it will be enough to pay special attention to growing seedlings. Care for adult bushes is minimal. Several times a week they will need to be watered, and loosen the soil around, remove weeds. If necessary,1 mineral and organic fertilizers can be applied. If the plants grow well and produce a large number of ovaries, then top dressing is not necessary. In this case, they will even be superfluous.
Grow seedlings as follows:
- Before planting seeds, they must be disinfected and germinated. Planting material can be disinfected in a solution of iodine or potassium permanganate. The solution must be warm. Pour the seeds into the water and leave for 15 minutes.
- After that, you can germinate the planting material. For germination, you will need a natural cloth or gauze. It should be wetted. Cover the seeds and put in a warm place, for example, on a battery. After 2 days, sprouts should appear. Such seeds can be planted in the ground.
- If the soil is taken from the garden, then it is heated to room temperature and only then the seeds are sown. For planting, you can also use a special substrate for vegetables, bought at the store.
- Put drainage (egg shells, small stones, pebbles or expanded clay) on the bottom of the containers, cover it with soil and water it.
- Make small holes and plant the seeds. Water with watering can.
- In order for the seedlings to begin to sprout faster, you can make the effect of a "greenhouse". The containers are covered with glass and cleaned in a dark place where there is no sunlight. If you leave the boxes in the sun, you can burn all the sprouts.
- Every 3 days the glass is removed and the ground is ventilated, watered if necessary.
- When the seedlings appear, the glass is removed and the boxes are placed in the sun.
- You can dive bushes after the first full-fledged leaves appear on them.
You can plant seedlings in open ground at the end of May. If the spring was late, then in early June.
Seedlings planted in this way:
- Dig up the soil, mix it with manure or bird droppings;
- Plant seedlings without deepening them;
- Water generously. At night, you can cover it with a warm cloth. You will have to cover until the bushes get used to the new place and get stronger.
Tomato aftercare is standard for all varieties.
