Fungicide Teldor: instructions for use, how to store and analogues

Fungal diseases often affect plants even if garden crops are cared for according to established rules. In such circumstances, it is recommended to use Teldor, or a fungicide whose instructions for use indicate that this agent is most effective against white and gray rot. This drug can also be used to prevent infection.

Composition, release form and purpose of the fungicide Teldor

Teldor is based on the active ingredient fenhexamid, which destroys various types of fungal infections. This happens due to the fact that this component prevents the development of styrene. Each kilogram of Teldor contains at least 500 grams of fenhexamid.

This remedy is used mainly in cases where the treatment of the plant with other fungicides did not work.

Teldor is available as water-soluble granules packaged in 1.5 or kilogram bags. The agent is used to locally suppress the development of fungal pathologies in plants.

How does the remedy work?

As noted, fenhexamid, on which the fungicide is based, inhibits the synthesis of styrene, on which the nutrition and development of fungal infection cells depend. This happens due to the fact that this substance has an inhibitory effect on C-3 reductase. The latter is part of the cells pathogenic for the plant. This effect prevents the development of fungal mycelium.

In addition, the composition of the drug includes substances that form a film on the surface of the plant. Such protection prevents the penetration of pathogenic microflora into the plant structure for 1-2 weeks.

Advantages over analogues

Compared to other anti-fungal agents, Teldor has the following advantages:

• suppresses pathogen activity even when other fungicides have failed;
• provides long lasting protection against fungal infection;
• within three hours after spraying, the process of inhibiting the functions of pathogens begins;
• has no negative impact on the environment;
• allowed to be used simultaneously with other fungicides.

Besides, using Teldor is easy. To treat the plant, it is enough to dilute the agent in water and spray the affected crop.

Consumption rates for different crops

When using Teldor, the following drug consumption rates must be observed:

1. For grapes and cherries. It is necessary to dilute 10 grams of the product in 10 liters of water. Spray plants should be 4 times per season, but no later than 15 days before harvest.
2. For strawberries. You need to take 8 grams of Teldor and dilute in 5 liters of water. The plant is sprayed 1 time per season, no later than 10 days before picking berries.
3. For stone fruit trees. Take 8 grams of the product and dilute in 10 liters of water. Trees are sprayed 1 time per season and no later than 20 days before harvest.

The given consumption rates are calculated taking into account the processing of plants on an area of one hundred square meters.

Rules for preparing a working solution

To prepare the solution, it is necessary to fill the prepared container halfway. Then add the fungicide to warm water, following the above norms, and mix thoroughly. After that, you can add the rest of the liquid and start processing the plants.

Crops can be sprayed only within three hours after the preparation of the solution. Work is recommended to be carried out on a clear day.

Fungicide instructions

Spraying plants with Teldor does not cause significant difficulties. It is recommended to process cultures slowly, trying to apply the solution to the affected leaves and branches. But to increase the effectiveness of the drug, the whole plant must be sprayed with the product.

Teldor recommended for processing:

• cabbage;
• tomatoes;
• peach;
• grapes;
• currants;
• strawberries;
• ornamental plants;
• eggplant.

Teldor is effective as a prophylactic against the following infections:

• wet, gray and white rot;
• anthracnose;
• brown spotting;
• powdery mildew;
• coccomycosis;
• scab.

When processing, it is not recommended to apply a lot of solution to one area. If the agent will drain down the trunk or leaves, this will reduce the effectiveness of the fungicide. During the season, Teldor can be used no more than four times. Processing should be carried out no more than every 10-15 days, regardless of the degree of damage to the plant by the fungus.

When using Teldor to treat crops, it should be remembered that this drug was created to prevent infection. The fungicide is most effective only at the beginning of the development of the disease. Therefore, it is recommended to take other drugs to treat affected plants.

Precautions for use

When applying a fungicide for disease prevention and treatment of plants, the following precautions will have to be observed:

• do not process crops in windy weather (wind speed should not exceed 7 m/s);
• before each procedure, wear glasses, gloves, waterproof clothing and other personal protective equipment;
• when swallowing the solution, you need to drink the appropriate amount of activated charcoal or other sorbent.

In case of contact of the fungicide with mucous membranes, the latter must be washed with water. If necessary, you should then take an antihistamine to prevent the development of an allergic reaction. If the solution gets on the skin, then the contact point should also be washed under water, and then treated with a fat cream.

Degree of drug toxicity

The active substance of Teldor belongs to the third class of toxicity. This means that the drug does not harm the body of humans or animals, but can provoke intoxication and a number of other negative consequences.

This remedy, despite this feature, not only inhibits the activity of fungal microflora, but also increases the shelf life of the fruits of treated plants.

Compatibility with other products

Teldor can be used simultaneously with other fungicides and insecticides. This is partly due to the fact that this drug was created to prevent fungal infection, and not to treat the plant. However, before using Teldor for the first time, it is recommended to test for compatibility with other products.

How to store?

The prepared solution should be used within three hours. During this time, the effectiveness of the drug decreases. A package of Teldor granules must be stored closed in a dark and dry place away from pets and children.

If insects are found in the mixture, the product must be disposed of appropriately. The latter recommendation is due to the fact that contact with some organisms can change the properties of the drug. Store Teldor at 35 degrees. Subject to the above recommendations, the shelf life of the drug is 36 months. At the end of this period, the product must also be disposed of.

2. Byleton. It has a wide spectrum of action and is used to prevent various diseases.
3. Euparen. Recommended for the treatment of plants seriously affected by a fungal infection.

5. Sumilex. The product is recommended for the treatment of plants from phytopathogenic fungi.
6. Trichodermin. It is highly effective and is also used to prevent infection.
7. Tekto. An effective broad-spectrum drug.
