Rizoplan: instructions for use and composition of the fungicide, dosage and analogues
Biopreparations for protecting plants from fungal and other diseases are especially popular with gardeners due to their natural composition. Unlike products containing chemicals, they act more slowly, but do not harm the soil and human he alth. The use of "Rizoplan" in household plots and fields allows you to avoid diseases such as root rot, vascular bacteriosis and oidium.
Composition and release form of the fungicide
The biological fungicide "Rizoplan" is produced on the basis of living cells of Pseudomonas fluorescens. These soil bacteria effectively destroy the pathogens of most fungal diseases that affect cultivated plants. Their concentration in the fungicidal preparation is 1 billion CFU/ml.
The biological product goes on sale in the form of a liquid solution, which must be diluted in water before use. "Rizoplan" is packaged in plastic canisters with a volume of 5 liters. The manufacturer of the biological preparation is the domestic company "Biopesticides" LLC.
When used and how it works
Biopreparation is designed for pre-sowing treatment of seed material, seedling roots before planting soil and crops throughout the growing season. Thanks to live microorganisms, the agent effectively destroys pathogens such as mildew and oidium in grapes, blackleg and vascular bacteriosis in cabbage, clamp rot in sugar beets, septoria and root rot in cereals, late blight in potatoes.
The preparation based on live bacteria is characterized not only by bactericidal and fungicidal actions, but also stimulates the growth of cultivated plants.
The instructions for use indicate in which cases it is advisable to use "Rizoplan":
- dressing and preparation for planting seeds of grain and vegetable crops;
- treatment of potato tubers before planting in the ground;
- root irrigation of plants throughout the growing season;
- treatment of soil and greenhouse structures after harvest;
- irrigation of indoor ornamental plants.
After entering the tissues of a cultivated plant, the biofungicide begins to depress pathogenic microorganisms, which leads to their death.
Gardeners attributed the following to the advantages of Rizoplan:
- increases the yield of cereals and vegetables by 10%;
- stimulates plant immunity and resistance to adverse weather conditions;
- increases protein content in grain up to 20% and improves its quality;
- used at any stage of crop vegetation;
- contributes to the saturation of the soil with beneficial microorganisms and restores fertility;
- does not lead to the development of resistance, so the fungicide can be used for several consecutive seasons;
- used in tank mixes with almost all chemicals, with the exception of products containing mercury;
- promotes sustainable vegetables.
Instructions for the use of "Rizoplan"
In the instructions, the manufacturer indicated the biofungicide consumption rates that must be followed during the use of the product.
Risoplan consumption for different cultivated plants is shown in the table:
Cultivated plant | Diseases against which the drug is used | Biofungicide consumption rate | Working solution consumption |
Sugar beet | Powdery mildew and downy mildew | 2 liters per hectare planted | 300 liters, processed throughout the growing season 1-2 times |
20 liters per hectare for crop treatment, 10 liters per ton for seed soaking before planting | Potato | Late blight and macrosporiosis | 1 liter |
Grapes | Oidium and mildew | 4 liters per hectare of plantation
Apple trees | Moniliosis and scab | 5 liters
Cabbage | Vascular bacteriosis and black leg | 2 liters
Strawberry | Gray rot | 4 litersTwo times treatment with 300 liters of solution
The biofungicide does not have a post-treatment waiting period, so if necessary, you can harvest a few days after application.
Spray solution should be prepared immediately before using the fungicide so that it does not lose its effectiveness. First, the amount of the drug indicated in the instructions is dissolved in a small amount of water (2-3 liters), after which the mother solution is poured into the sprayer tank, half filled with water, and the mixer is turned on. After the solution has acquired a homogeneous consistency, add the remaining water and mix again.
The solution remaining after processing must be disposed of in accordance with safety requirements. It is recommended to spray plants in clear weather, with minimal wind speed, in the morning or evening.
Medication Precautions
The biofungicidal drug "Rizoplan" belongs to the 4th class of toxicity to humans, warm-blooded animals and insects. However, when working with it, you must follow simple safety rules. Use protective clothing and gloves during processing, as well as a mask.
At the end of spraying plants thoroughly wash all tools, wash clothes and take a shower with soap. If drops of the solution get on the skin or mucous membranes, wash them with plenty of water.
Compatible with what?
