Herbicide Grenadier: instructions for use, consumption rates and analogues
Anonim

Grenadier is a systemic herbicide used to control unwanted vegetation in cereal crops. The drug destroys all enemies of wheat, barley, sunflower. Weeds completely disappear in just one treatment. Active substances do not accumulate in the soil, quickly decompose, and are not found in the main cereal crops. The herbicidal agent has selective activity, it acts only on weeds.

Composition, purpose and dosage form of the drug Grenadier

Herbicide is used to kill weeds in grain crops and sunflowers. It is used against chamomile, cruciferous, dandelion, thistle, poppy, thistle and other weeds that take away nutrients from the main crops.

The active substance is tribenuron-methyl. The drug dissolved in water during spraying penetrates into weeds and destroys them at the cellular level. Systemic herbicide has selective activity, it fights only annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds that interfere with the growth of major crops. The drug does not affect the grains themselves.

Herbicide is produced by Agrochemical Technologies (Ukraine). It comes in the form of water soluble granules packaged in 500 gram plastic bottles.

Mechanism of herbicide action

The active substance - tribenuron-methyl - penetrates into the weed plant through the leaves and roots. Grenadier acts on the enzymes responsible for cell division. Vegetation growth stops a few hours after irrigation. A week later, signs of necrosis, chlorosis appear. Completely weeds die after 2-3 weeks.The herbicide has a short residual effect, quickly breaks down in the soil, so it is recommended to use it only for post-emergence treatment.

Advantages over analogues

Grenadier herbicide has the following advantages:

  • does not accumulate in soil;
  • planting of any crops is allowed for the next season;
  • has selective activity, does not harm the main crops;
  • affects all major weeds;
  • compatible with various pesticides;
  • can be used from 5 degrees Celsius.

Consumption rate for different plants

When preparing the solution, adhere to the following dosage (at a flow rate of the working solution of 200-300 l / ha):

  1. For winter cereals. The consumption of the drug is 0.020-0.025 kg/ha.
  2. For spring cereals. Herbicide consumption - 0.015-0.020 kg/ha.

How to prepare a working solution

The herbicidal agent is dissolved in a liquid before use. To prepare a working solution for spraying, clean and soft water is taken. If a sprayer is used to irrigate crops, then take the amount of the drug that is needed for one tank filling.

First, a matrix solution is prepared in a bucket of water. The sprayer tank is half filled with water and, with the agitator turned on, the dissolved herbicide is poured. Then add the rest of the water. If Grenadier is used with other pesticides, then this herbicide is first added to the sprayer tank, and then the remaining preparations. The agitator must be turned on when preparing the solution and when spraying.

Herbicide instructions

Irrigation of weeds is carried out in early spring, at an early stage of weed growth (in the phase of 3-4 leaves). Work must be carried out in calm weather or at a wind speed of not more than 6 m / s. Weeds are best sprayed immediately after rain, when they are still wet. Herbicide treatment is carried out only once per season.

Spraying can be done with fine dispersion sprayers. If other herbicides for integrated weed control are poured into the tank of such a sprayer, then the dosage of all preparations must be halved. Chemicals must first be checked for compatibility.

When spraying grain crops, make sure that the herbicide solution does not fall on nearby vegetables.

Precautions for using the product

The herbicide is non-toxic to humans, but you need to work with this chemical agent in a respirator or a protective mask, rubber gloves, boots, a protective suit.It is forbidden to inhale vapors and drink working solution. After field work, wash your hands and face with warm water and soap, rinse your mouth with soda solution.

Degree of drug toxicity

The drug Grenadier has been assigned the 3rd degree of danger. The herbicide is non-toxic to bees, but it is advisable not to use it during the active summer of these insects. It is forbidden to spray with this agent in the sanitary zone near the reservoirs in which fish are bred. The drug quickly decomposes in the soil, does not accumulate in the soil, does not pollute the environment.

Compatibility with other substances

Grenadier herbicide is allowed to be used in tank mixes together with preparations based on 2,4-d ichlorophenoxyacetic acid, dicamba or fluroxypyr. The combined use of fungicides and insecticides is allowed.

If the main crop is stressed, organophosphate insecticides should not be used.

Expiration date and storage rules

Grenadier in tightly closed original packaging can be stored at room temperature for 3 years after the date of manufacture. Do not use the herbicide after the expiration date. The grenadier must be kept in a separate storage area dedicated to the storage of pesticides.

The herbicide should be stored away from moisture and direct sunlight. The prepared solution cannot be stored for more than a day, it must be used immediately, and the remains should be poured outside the agricultural land.

Analogues

Similar preparations with a similar composition and principle of action are the following herbicides: Granstar, Agrostar, Grand Plus, Caliber, Magnum, Status Grand, Himstar. Pesticides are used to treat grain crops and control weeds without harming the main crops.
