Imazapir: instructions for the use of herbicide, consumption rates and analogues

Purpose and principle of operation

This is a non-selective herbicide, suitable for controlling annual and perennial weeds, shrubs, trees, quick clearance of clearings. The active substance (imazapyr) is absorbed by all parts of plants (roots, branches, leaves and stems of herbs). It accumulates at growth points and, integrating into the DNA system, reduces, and then blocks, the synthesis of ribonucleic acid, protein.Due to this, the process of cell division and plant growth slows down, and then stops.

First, the herbicide acts on young shoots, and then on a mature plant. Plantings remain green for a long time, since imazapyr does not affect photosynthesis. When it hits the soil, it remains in the top layer for a long time and prevents the germination of seeds and new shoots.

Imazapyr herbicides are suitable for tank mix formulations that are neutral or alkaline. Acids destroy imazapyr.

Store in specially equipped rooms, in the manufacturer's container, with a tightly closed lid, indicating the trade name, composition and rules of use. Agrochemical products should be inaccessible to children and animals. They are kept away from feed and food.
