Fungicides help gardeners and farmers protect crops from a spectrum of diseases and reap rich harvests in all weathers. On sale there are chemicals with one active ingredient, and there are also two-component products. The latter are more effective in the fight against pathogens, as they affect microorganisms from different angles. Cymoxanil has many advantages, which is why it is often chosen by farmers for use in their fields.

Composition and release form of the product

A two-component fungicide with a powerful stop effect and long-term protection of crops, developed by scientists for use in fields sown with sunflower and soybeans.The first active ingredient in its composition is cymoxanil at a concentration of 300 grams per 1 kg of the drug. The second active ingredient is flutriafol, in a kilogram of the chemical its content is 210 grams.

The fungicide goes on sale in the form of a wettable powder, from which a working solution is prepared. It is packaged in plastic jars of 1 and 2.5 kg. The manufacturer of the chemical agent is the domestic company Agrochemical Technologies.

Working principle and area of use

The mechanism of action of the fungicidal drug Cymoxanil is based on the effect of two active components on pathogens. The substance of the same name has a local-systemic effect and penetrates through the leaf plates of cultures. Its influence leads to the suppression of sporulation of fungi that cause plant diseases, this is achieved by inhibiting RNA biosynthesis in pathogen cells.

The second active ingredient - flutriafol - disrupts the process of formation of the cell membrane of the microorganism and stops the development of the hyphae of the mycelium. This is achieved by blocking the process of demethylation of styrene biosynthesis. This substance is characterized by the highest degree of systemic influence among all triazoles and guarantees long-term protection of all parts of the cultivated plant from the effects of pathogenic microorganisms that cause the development of fungal diseases.

Cymoxanil fungicide was developed to protect sunflower and soybean crops from pathogens of fungal diseases. It is effective against pathologies such as sunflower downy mildew, soybean septoria, phomosis and sclerotinia.

Farmers who have tested the working qualities of the chemical in their fields have identified several advantages of the drug that set it apart from other fungicides with a similar effect.

The advantages of Cymoxanil include the following points:

  • therapeutic and preventive action due to the two substances included in the composition with a different mechanism of influence;
  • efficiency in the destruction of mushrooms belonging to different classes;
  • long-term protective effect after treatment, subject to instructions and dosage;
  • possibility of application at any stage of vegetation of cultivated plants;
  • preservation of the working qualities of the drug even when used at low temperatures;
  • no risk of developing resistance when used for several consecutive seasons due to the different effects of active ingredients and the absence of phytotoxicity when the dosage is observed.

Instructions for using Cymoxanil fungicide

In order for the fungicidal preparation to demonstrate its working qualities, it is necessary to follow the instructions for use and the chemical consumption rates recommended by the manufacturer.The main criterion for the effectiveness of Cymoxanil is the uniformity of coverage of cultivated plants with a working solution. In combination with a fungicide, it is necessary to use AgpoPAB (0.1% solution) or AgpoPAB Extra (0.05-0.1% solution), only in this case it will be possible to achieve the goal and completely destroy pathogens .

Fungicide consumption rates are shown in the table:

Cultivated plant Chemical consumptionNumber of working fluid per hectare of field
Soybeans 500ml200 to 300 liters
Sunflower500 ml200 to 300 liters

The working solution is prepared immediately before processing so that it does not lose its qualities. Pour half the volume of water into the sprayer tank and pour the powder. Turn on the stirrer and wait for the complete dissolution of the product.After that, add the remaining water and add the adhesive, mix again until smooth.

It is recommended to treat the field at an air temperature of 12 to 25 degrees Celsius, it is in this interval that the drug demonstrates the highest efficiency. It is desirable that on the day when the spraying was carried out, it did not rain. For work, they choose either early morning or evening, when there is no scorching sun.

The working fluid remaining after processing the plants is disposed of in accordance with the safety regulations - the chemical must not be poured onto the ground or into water bodies.

Safety precautions when working with the drug

Working with a chemical, adhere to safety rules. The entire body should be covered with clothing to prevent the fungicide from reaching the skin. Rubber gloves and boots are used, as well as a respirator so that chemical vapors do not irritate the respiratory tract.

At the end of the processing of plants, clothes are washed and hung out for ventilation in fresh air. The farmer must wash himself with soap and take a shower. If the working fluid accidentally gets on the mucous membranes, they are washed with plenty of water, and if irritation occurs, they turn to a medical facility.

Compatible with what?

Cymoxanil fungicide is allowed to be used in tank mixes with other chemicals, but a small amount of each should be tested first.

How to store properly

Store the fungicide in a separate utility room, where there is no access to children and pets, at an air temperature not higher than 35 degrees.

Analogues

If necessary, you can replace Cymoxanil with a drug such as Impact.
