How to prepare the container

To roll compote for the winter, you will need glass jars with tight-fitting lids. Containers must be thoroughly washed with soap and soda under hot running water. Then they are rinsed, together with the lids, neck down, placed on a wire rack, under which there is a pot of boiling water.

The container is sterilized in this way for 5-7 minutes, after which the fire is turned off and the dishes are left to cool, without removing, on the grate over the steam.

How to cook raspberry and apple compote

Apples must be washed, cut in half and core removed. Then the fruits are cut into slices.

If the compote is planned to be drunk immediately after preparation, it is prepared in the following way:

  1. Fruits and berries are placed in a saucepan, poured with water and sugar is added.
  2. The mixture is heated over medium heat until it boils. After boiling, the drink is boiled for 3 minutes on low heat, closing the pan with a lid so that there is a gap.
  3. After turning off the fire, the pan is tightly closed with a lid and the compote is infused for 20 minutes.

To prepare a winter preparation, raspberries and apples are placed on the bottom of the jar, and sugar is dissolved in water and boiled in a saucepan. The resulting syrup is poured into a jar and covered with a lid. The container is placed in a pot of water and sterilized for 7 minutes over low heat. Then it is rolled up and put away for storage.

To make the drink more intense, you can slightly change the technology of its preparation. Apples and raspberries should be put in a jar, covered with sugar and poured with boiling water to the neck. The solution must be left for 10 minutes to infuse, and then pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boiling water must be poured back into the jar. After that, the container must be closed with a lid, turned upside down, wrapped in a blanket for slow cooling and left overnight at room temperature.After cooling, the container can be turned over.

How to properly store treats

Compote in rolled up jars can be stored at room temperature. It is advisable to place it in a dark cool place. The longer the drink sits, the richer and more concentrated it becomes.
