Under "Benomyl" is meant a systemic fungicide and a disinfectant for planting material. With its help, it is possible to cope with a whole complex of diseases of cereal plants and sugar beets. Composition and formulation

The drug is produced as a wettable powder. The active ingredient is benomyl. In 1 kilogram of fungicide there are 500 grams of the main ingredient.

Mechanism of action

The principle of action of the fungicide is aimed at inhibiting the cell division of pathogens. The tool has protective properties and helps to cope with infections. It successfully inhibits the activity of fungal microorganisms.

"Benomyl" is absorbed by the foliage and root system of cultivated plants. After that, the active substance is directed towards the top. At the same time, one part of "Benomyl" remains on the surface of the crops, and the second part penetrates into the plant and transforms into carbendazim. This substance has pronounced fungicidal characteristics.

During the hydrolysis of the active ingredient, butol isocyanate gas is produced. It enters the mycelium of pathogens and immediately stops the respiration of cells. This helps to quickly stop the subsequent development of pathogens. This effect provides an additional fungicidal effect of the drug.

To make a working solution, it is recommended to fill the sprayer tank by a third with water. With the hydraulic mixer turned on, add the required amount of the drug or the stock solution prepared in advance.

To make a stock solution, you need to fill the container a quarter with water, add the drug and add water. This is done with constant stirring of the composition. After adding the agent or stock solution, pour water into the sprayer.

This sequence of actions helps prevent the ingredients of the product from precipitating. Use the working mixture on the same day. After processing plantings, the sprayer must be rinsed with water.

Precautions

When using the drug, be sure to use personal protective equipment. It is recommended to wear gloves and a respirator. Prepare the working solution in an open area. Do not do this indoors.

When using a fungicide, it is recommended to avoid contact with the skin or eyes. Do not eat, drink or smoke while processing plants. After finishing spraying the crops, wash your face and hands well.

In case of poisoning with "Benomyl", it is recommended to provide first aid to a person in a timely manner. If the substance comes into contact with the skin, it must be washed with plenty of water. If the product gets into the eyes, they should be rinsed with plenty of running water.

In case of penetration of the drug into the digestive organs, you need to drink several glasses of water and provoke vomiting. You should first drink activated charcoal. Then you need to see a doctor right away.

Compatibility with other substances

The product can be combined with other protective drugs. An exception is considered to be substances that have strongly alkaline or strongly acidic reactions. "Benomyl" cannot be combined with Bordeaux mixture and sulfur-based preparations.

Terms and conditions of storage

It is recommended to keep the preparation in warehouses for pesticides. The composition must be in sealed packaging.

In this case, the temperature regime can be from -10 to +30 degrees. Shelf life in sealed packaging is 2 years.
