On average, the daily diet of birds is 300-400 g of feed for females and 450-500 g for males. This norm is also followed when growing heavy crosses.

As a rule, producers indicate the daily rate for the bird, based on its age. When using "Purina" adhere to the following numbers:

  • for turkey poults up to 3 weeks of age use Starter-1 feed (0.95 kg for the entire period);
  • birds aged 4-8 weeks are fed 6.15 kg (for the entire period) of the mixture "Starter-2";
  • 9-15 week old turkey poults should eat 18 kg (per period) of Grower feed.

Adult birds over 16 weeks of age are fed Finisher mix per week (3.55 kg each for turkey and 5.85 kg each for turkey).

If you adhere to the norms specified by the manufacturer, then rapid growth and maximum weight gain of chicks will be guaranteed. Also, turkeys will form a developed gastrointestinal tract and a strong skeleton. And as a result, the farmer will receive large carcasses with natural tasty meat.
