Fungicide Metamil MC: instructions for use and composition, dosage and analogues

Fungicides are drugs designed to protect plants from various diseases. When choosing a fungicide, you should carefully read the manufacturer's instructions for use of the products and act in accordance with the instructions. For example, the use of "Metamil MC", a fungicide, is recommended for the treatment of potatoes affected by late blight and alternariosis.

Composition, release form and principle of action of the fungicide "Metamil MTs"

This is a two-component preparation designed to combat potato diseases in industrial areas and suburban areas.Produced by the Russian company JSC Schelkovo Agrokhim. Refers to the means of contact-systemic action, provides the best protection of plants due to the complex effect.

Contains: Mancozeb - 640 grams/kg and Metalaxyl - 80 grams/kg. The fungicide is produced in the form of water-dispersible granules and is packaged in water-soluble bags covered with a metallized film (to protect against moisture, steam, sunlight), with a capacity of 25 grams and 5 kilograms. Each package contains detailed information about the purpose, rules for using the drug, release date and expiration date.

Metamil MC fungicide provides protective (prevents spore infection), curative (affects existing pathogen), eradicating (completely destroys spores inside the spore-bearing area) action.

Mancozeb protects plants on the surface - it destroys the fungus on the leaves and stems of potatoes, metalaxyl penetrates into the tissues of the plant, preventing infection and the spread of infection from the inside. Very unlikely to develop drug resistance.

When is it used?

The product is used for preventive purposes to treat potato plantings and protect it from fungal infections. It is also effective in case of detection of late blight and early blight on plants in the initial stages. Fungicide provides:

• reliable protection against diseases due to the dual (contact and systemic) action of active substances;
• impact on all parts of the plant and new growth;
• prophylactic and curative action;
• Protection of tubers from fungus in the field and during storage;
• best keeping quality of potatoes;
• preservation of properties in high humidity and after rain;
• plant protection for 2 weeks after treatment.

The drug penetrates into plant tissues within 30-40 minutes after spraying. It is not phytotoxic if the manufacturer's instructions for using the fungicide are followed exactly. Grown potatoes keep better and are safer for he alth.

Consumption rate

Consumption of the fungicide "Metamil MTs" - 2-2.5 liters of mixture per hectare or 200-400 liters / hectare, ready-made working solution. The first preventive treatment is carried out during the growing season, before the tops close in the rows, the next - after 10-14 days.

3 treatments are enough for complete plant protection. Field work can be done 3 days after spraying the plots.

Instructions for using the drug

Working solution is prepared before use. It is not allowed to store the finished mixture. 1/3 of the total volume of liquid is poured into the tank, fungicide is added and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Then water is added to the desired volume. The finished solution is mixed again. It is more convenient not to pour the granules into the tank, but first dissolve them in a small amount of water and then send them to the container for the working solution.

"Metamil MTs" is suitable for the preparation of tank mixes. It is compatible with many insecticides and herbicides. When preparing a complex mixture, the components included in it must be checked for physical and chemical compatibility.

Fungicide is not sprayed in windy and dry hot weather. Spraying is carried out at a temperature of +18 to +22 ° C and air humidity of 60-65%. Suitable for ground use with a sprayer and processing potato fields from aircraft.

Precautions

The drug is toxic, care should be taken when working with it, strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions, do not exceed the recommended dosage. The fungicide has a hazard class 2 for humans (highly toxic) and a hazard class 3 for bees (moderately toxic). Dangerous for fish, processing is not carried out closer than 2 kilometers from the reservoir. Before processing, beekeepers should be warned at least 5 days in advance, insects can fly out 5-6 hours after spraying potato fields with a fungicide.

Preparation of the working solution is carried out at specialized sites, excluding the appearance of strangers and pets, away from residential buildings and living quarters. After work, the site must be disinfected.

Cooking is done in overalls (long-sleeved robe, protective suit), it must be fully buttoned. The face is protected with a respirator, hands with rubber gloves. Protective goggles or a screen should be worn to prevent liquid from getting into the eyes. Cover your hair with a hat or scarf.

Important: In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with running water.

Do not smoke or eat while working. After work, wash hands and exposed areas of the body thoroughly. Store the drug away from food and animal feed, in places inaccessible to children and animals, do not allow the package to get wet.Keep away from direct sunlight, in tightly closed bags, at a temperature of -5 to +35 °C.

Expiration date - 3 years from date of manufacture.

Metamil MC was originally intended for processing potatoes, but it perfectly fights against fungal infections of tomatoes, onions, cucumbers growing in the open field, protects against mildew on grapes, and is suitable for processing blackcurrant bushes.
