Tomato Siberian Troika: characteristics and description of the variety, yield with photos and reviews
Anonim

Tomato Siberian Troika is one of the most productive varieties of tomatoes with large fruits. The greatest yield can be obtained by growing tomatoes in the open field, but if all the rules of agricultural technology are followed, you can grow a good crop in a greenhouse.

Description

The Siberian Troika tomato variety was bred in Siberia by breeders V. Dederko, O. Postnikova and A. Yabrov. A variety of this nightshade culture is quite unpretentious and not demanding in care. From the seeds of the largest ripe fruits, good seedlings can be grown next year.

The tomato variety "Siberian Troika" belongs to the determinants (it differs in undersized bushes), it can reach a height of 55 to 65 cm. As it grows, the formation of a bush is required. First of all, it is necessary to remove the stems that go from the rhizome itself, as well as those that form before the first flower stalk. Also, it is necessary to tie up the bushes so that they do not break under the weight of the fruit.

The plant is mid-season. From the appearance of the first shoots to the harvest, about 105-125 days pass. It is characterized by resistance to sudden changes in temperature and various diseases.

Reviews about the taste of the fruit are mostly positive. It is unpretentious in care, but in order to increase productivity, it is necessary to regularly apply mineral and organic fertilizers. This is especially important during the period of active growth of seedlings and the formation of ovaries.

Before buying planting material, you need to study the description of Siberian Troika tomatoes.

Pros and cons

Siberian Troika tomato variety has its advantages and disadvantages. Those gardeners who planted it in their summer cottage were satisfied with the results.

Benefits:

  • Good yield;
  • Disease resistance;
  • Large fruits;
  • Good palatability;
  • The bush is not very tall and compact, does not branch;
  • Ripe vegetables are stored for a long time (should be stored in a dry place so that they do not start to rot);
  • Tolerates both heat and cold well.

No shortcomings were found in this variety of nightshade crops. The only negative is that under the weight of the fruit, the branches can lie on the ground, which can lead to rotting tomatoes.

Features of outdoor cultivation

You can grow a rich harvest by observing all the rules of agricultural technology. It is necessary to plant planting material in the soil in early March.

I plant seeds for seedlings as follows:

  • You can soak the seeds in potassium permanganate or buy them in granules treated with a special solution;
  • Planting material should be planted at a distance of 2 cm from each other, lightly sprinkled with earth;
  • After the appearance of the first leaves, the seedlings dive;
  • Before planting seedlings in open ground, it must be hardened off. In the first week, containers should be taken out for 2-3 hours, constantly increasing the time.

Growed seedlings in the open field as follows:

  • Dig up the soil and remove all weeds;
  • Dig small holes (you can add a little manure);
  • Plant a bush in the hole and gently dig it in with earth, lightly tamp;
  • Pour plenty of warm water;
  • Cover with warm material at night;
  • When the bushes get too tall, they need to be tied down, especially if they are located in open, windy areas.

Features of planting in open ground:

  • It is recommended to plant seedlings in places where zucchini, eggplant, carrots, dill, parsley or onions used to grow;
  • Before planting the seeds in the soil, they must be soaked in a solution of potassium permanganate, and then washed in clean warm water;
  • To speed up the growth of seedlings, mineral fertilizers, such as superphosphate, can be poured into the soil before planting.

"Siberian troika" is resistant to temperature changes and the development of diseases. High yield and taste of fruits are the main advantages of the variety.
