Culture genetically resistant to disease:

  1. TMV, cladosporiosis.
  2. Fusariose, verticillium.

Tomato pulp dry matter content: 5%.

Features of agricultural technology

For the successful cultivation of the Tornado tomato, temperature changes must be excluded.Sharp jumps during the growing season will negatively affect the characteristics of the crop. The soil is kept slightly moist - this will help to avoid cracks in the skin of the tomato.The beds under the tomatoes are mulched with rotted compost. Also used:

  • peat;
  • straw, hay, chopped grass without seeds;
  • wood bark and sawdust.

A polyethylene film is laid on the mulch layer, non-woven materials such as Agrotex or spunbond are suitable instead of the film. Decaying organic matter will turn into humus and make the soil more fertile. The mulch will stop surface evaporation and stop weeds from growing. Tomatoes grown this way are more productive and less of a hassle in the garden.

Stepsons of standard tomatoes develop poorly, therefore, the plant does not spend nutrients on excess greenery. It is still necessary to remove "empty" shoots so that one stem is formed - a trunk. If the bushes bend under the weight of the crop, a vertical support is installed.

Maturation of a mid-early tomato hybrid occurs 100-110 days after planting seedlings.

Fertilizer balance

To make tomato bushes compact, limit the amount of nitrogen. If the soil has been mulched with humus, then nitrogen-containing dressings are not required. During the active growing season, tomatoes of the Tornado variety are supported with a nutrient solution (per 20 liters of water):

  • 1 liter liquid mullein;
  • 2 tbsp. l nitrophoska

Tornado tomatoes are watered strictly under the root, 0.5 l of liquid per plant. Fertilizers are also applied foliarly, for this the rate of content of active substances is halved. Experienced gardeners advise to alternate these two methods.

Commodity characteristics of Tornado tomato f1 allow you to grow crops on farms. Owners of small gardens who liked the description of the variety will be interested in this tall, colorful plant.
