Question answer

Herbicide Stellar: instructions for use, mechanism of action and consumption rates

Anonim

Stellar herbicidal agent belongs to the class of highly effective compounds. This water-soluble concentrate controls annual and biennial dicotyledonous weeds that damage cereal crops. It can also be used to control weeds in corn crops.

Composition, dosage form and purpose of the drug

The main feature of the Stellar herbicide is the use of a new active ingredient - triketone. It has a systemic effect, droops in various ways into the plant. It is absorbed not only by leaves, as is often the case with other preparations, but also by roots, shoots and other parts.Also in the composition of the product there is dicamba, which has been recognized for many years as an active substance to combat broad-leaved plants, as well as toprameson, which expands the possibility of the first component.

Produced in a large canister of 10 liters. Producer - BASF. Registration at the state level is valid for the herbicide until 2014.

The Stellar herbicide is used to kill various types of weeds. It is quite effective against the following weeds:

  • ragweed ragweed;
  • white gauze;
  • rosichka;
  • bristle;
  • millet, including chicken;
  • field bindweed;
  • field bastard;
  • carrion sunflower;
  • rapeseed.

Effective for both annuals and biennials.

The principle of action of the Stellar herbicide

The principle of the complex action of the Stellar herbicide is based on the action of its main components. In particular, dicamba regulates the processes taking place in the leaves and roots (if there is enough moisture). After ingestion of the weed, dicamba begins to move to the phloem and xylem. As a result, it decomposes the synthesis process, suppression occurs. Dicamba also destroys the hormonal balance. As a result of the systemic destroying effect of the drug, weed cells stop dividing, oxygen is not supplied.

Toprameson works differently. It does not suppress individual organisms, but biotypes as a whole. In particular, it is now actively used to destroy weeds that have already developed immunity to herbicides of other groups, for example, based on acetolactate inhibitors.Topramesone also enters the plant in various ways, but it is most absorbed by the young leaves of the plant.

In general, the combined effect of two toxic substances leads to a slowdown in growth or its complete stop after 2 days. But the complete destruction of the plant (drying, yellow color) will be only after 1-2 weeks (depending on weather conditions, including the level of humidity).

Advantages over analogues

The Stellar herbicide is now the most actively used in agriculture and has practically no competitors. This is due to a number of its advantages:

  • excellent selectivity;
  • can only be processed once during the entire period of plant maturation;
  • no additional restrictive measures in crop rotation;
  • handles both young and mature plants;
  • relatively safe for the environment;
  • produced in a large convenient container, easily diluted with water;
  • handles almost all broadleaf weeds;
  • effective against weeds in all climates.

As you can see from the list, Stellar herbicide is really effective. It is this property, combined with a relatively low price and safety, that makes it popular.

Consumption rate

Depending on the maturity of the weeds, one to one and a half liters of undiluted herbicide may be required. And the working solution is applied per hectare from 300 to 350 liters.

Preparation of working solution

In order for the composition to show effectiveness and not harm corn and other plants, you must follow the rules for preparing the solution. It is done like this:

  • half of the tank is filled with water at room temperature;
  • turns on the stirrer;
  • add herbicide;
  • fill the composition to the end of the tank, without ceasing to mix;
  • after complete dissolution of the herbicide in clean water, the adhesive is added there.

Next, you need to mix the resulting working fluid strongly - at least 3 minutes.

Instructions for using the ready mix

For corn, it is required to take from 1 to 1.5 liters per hectare of plants. Processing comes from annual as well as some biennial pests. Including destroyed after exposure to the herbicide and weeds resistant to 2.4 D, cereal annuals.

Processing takes place in the initial phase of corn growth - up to the fifth leaf. At the same time, the herbicide is supplemented with a special adhesive "Dash" (it will take no more than five percent of the total volume of the composition).

Safety rules for use

To protect yourself from harmful fumes, you need to prepare. Used for protection:

  • robe; gloves;
  • mask.

Hazard class for humans - the second. The hazard class for bees is the third. It is not allowed to use Stellar herbicide in the water protection zones of reservoirs - it harms some fish.

Toxicity and Compatibility

The main difference between Stellar herbicide and hormonal herbicides is that it does not cause toxicity.

There are some crop rotation restrictions. It is not allowed for at least 18 months to sow soybeans, sugar beets or peas at the site of herbicide exposure. Phytotoxicity in Stellar is not observed.

How to store and how much?

Stellar herbicide, undiluted and carefully packaged in a sealed container, can be stored for several years - it will not lose its properties. But at the same time, the already opened or the working solution itself must be used immediately, to prevent weathering of the components of the composition.

Not yet opened canisters are stored in a cool and dark room. Avoid direct sunlight.

What are the analogues?

You can replace the Stellar herbicide with drugs similar in active substances and spectrum of action:

  • "Bob BT";
  • "Bazagran";
  • "Bazagran M";
  • Dual Gold.

"Stellar" shows high efficiency. Plant addiction is not observed when used correctly.
