This is especially true for plants that actively increase their green mass. How to feed seedlings of tobacco

Tobacco has small seeds that may not sprout when planted in open ground. Competent watering will be required without excessive waterlogging (it can lead to fungal infections and rot), a temperature regime within 23-30 degrees Celsius and additional lighting.

Nitrogen is necessary for seedlings to grow, but before planting in the ground, seedlings can be fed with a complex fertilizer containing a balanced formula of macro- and microelements. This will give the crops a great start and prevent the plants from overgrowing and weakening.

You can properly feed tobacco even in the absence of special fertilizers and the ability to purchase them. For this purpose, onion peel can be used. It is collected in a liter jar, gaining a third of the volume, but not compacting, poured with boiling water, tightly sealed and insulated.

The cooled infusion is used to feed tobacco on the day of preparation, as it is not stored. In addition to the function of fertilizer, such a tool also repels pests and helps resist diseases, since onions contain phytoncides.

Fertilizers after picking

On well-fed, rich soils such as chernozems, in most cases, it will not be necessary to feed tobacco at all.
On leaner soils for spring digging, potash fertilizers and superphosphate should be applied, and ammonium nitrate should be applied after planting seedlings to stimulate growth in the early stages of development. In total, no more than 3-4 dressings per growing season will be required.

When stunted, plantings are fed with nitrogen, best of all with urea, as it gives a quick start and contributes to the active development of seedlings. Equally important is the presence of potassium and phosphorus.
