Question answer

Humic fertilizers: composition and types of acids, instructions for use

Anonim

The use of humic fertilizers for plant nutrition has a positive effect on the taste of fruits and vegetables, strengthens green spaces. Not all gardeners know about a useful drug. It is important to know how the tool works, what is included in its composition, for which crops it is suitable. Before use, you must study the rules of use and learn about the precautions for handling the substance.

What are humic substances, how do they affect plants?

Humus is a substance obtained as a result of processing by soil microorganisms of the remains of vital activity of flora and fauna. The product directly affects soil fertility.

The most nutritious are black soils, which contain up to 12% organic additives. Lands located in the middle zone of the country contain no more than 5% of such substances. Fertilizers that accumulate in the soil help strengthen plants and increase crop yields.

To obtain humus, plant residues are introduced into the soil and earthworms are populated to recycle the compost. Then the product is watered with a weak solution of alkali, after which concentrated compounds are formed - humic acids. These substances are used to stimulate photosynthesis processes in plant tissues, improve soil structure and soil air permeability.

Composition and effectiveness

Humic fertilizers are made from vegetable raw materials. The basis is manure, brown coal. Silt, sapropel are often used, composts are processed.

The product is produced mainly in the form of a concentrated liquid. This form is easy to use. The composition of organic preparations includes a set of acids:

  • humic;
  • aminocarboxylic:
  • from fulvates.

Fertilizers also enrich beneficial fungal microorganisms and mineral supplements, including nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus and other elements.

Types of humic fertilizers

Producers have developed several types of humic fertilizers. The most popular liquid formulas are those that can be supplemented with other nutrients.

Liquid

Fluid and soft formulations are used as growth stimulants and for complex plant nutrition. Examples:

Fertilizer namesApplication
"Living Force", "Ekorost", "Edogum SM"For soaking seeds, applying to the soil at the end of the growing season
GUMI-OMIFor watering flowers, processing planting material
Humic top dressing enriched with potassium (potassium humate, "Gumi-20" and others)As a stimulator of root development, to strengthen plant immunity, soil enrichment

This top dressing is suitable for gardeners whose farming methods are based on the principles of natural farming.

Peat-humic

For the production of this type of fertilizer, peat is used as a raw material:

Suppresses pathogenic microbes. Used to protect harvested crops from infection

Dry peat-humic fertilizers even process granaries and home cellars.

Instructions for use

Humic acid concentrate is diluted according to package directions. Exceeding dosages threatens with violations of the development of plant culture. The finished composition is not stored, but used for its intended purpose.

Agronomists identify 3 directions for the use of fertilizers:

  1. Strengthening the seed before placing in the ground.
  2. Introducing the solution into the soil for the development of roots.
  3. Spraying the leaves.

A scheme of application has been developed for each method.

Seed treatment

Bulbs, seeds and tubers are soaked in a solution of humic acid. The recommended content of the drug is 0.1%. Planting material is placed in the mixture for a period of 18 hours. Processing is aimed at increasing the germination of shoots.

Root top dressing

It is necessary to apply humic fertilizers under the root of the plant several times during the season. The first top dressing is carried out after planting. Shoots are watered 2 weeks after placement in the garden. The next soil enrichment session is carried out when the flowers begin to bloom and then during the period of fruit set. Complete pre-harvest procedures.

Shrubs and trees are fed first in the spring, do not forget to support the plantations during the summer heat, and the final watering is organized before leaf fall.

Processing by sheet

The surface of the leaves is treated with humic fertilizers twice a season. A 20% concentrate is diluted in a thousand times the volume of liquid. A bucket of water requires one tablespoon of the drug. Spraying is carried out when cloudy weather sets in, or at sunset. The bright sun can cause a leaf burn. According to agrotechnical recommendations, the solution is sprayed when the crown is just forming and after flowering is completed.

Safety

The production of humic fertilizers is based on the use of organic raw materials. Therefore, drugs are classified as hazard class 4. This category is considered harmless to humans. But some precautions are required:

  1. Gloves are used when handling liquid concentrates or dry matter.
  2. If the solution gets on unprotected areas of the body, wash the skin with water.

The greatest danger is the accidental ingestion of fertilizer. In such a situation, induce vomiting and take adsorbents.

Contraindications for the use of humic fertilizers

The scope of organic nutrition is wide, but there are limitations:

  1. Fertilizers are not suitable for coniferous plantations. Plants get nitrogen from the atmosphere. Additional mineral complexes create an overabundance of the element.
  2. Humic acids do not affect the increase in the yield of legumes, as well as sunflower and corn.

In greenhouses, the drug works more effectively than in the garden.

Terms and conditions of storage

Diluted humic acid is stored no longer than a week. The drug in sealed original packaging will not deteriorate for 3 years. Place humic fertilizers indoors with good ventilation.

If the recommended dosages and terms of application are observed, humic fertilizers contribute to the development of plants and the growth of yields. The drug is effective in the treatment of planting material, spraying and as a root top dressing.
