"Apimax" for bees is called a medicinal balm, which is used as a medicinal top dressing for various pathologies. These include varroatosis, akarapidosis, nosematosis. Also, the substance can be used for the purpose of prevention and to stimulate the overall development of bee colonies. The drug includes only herbal ingredients and does not harm insects. At the same time, it is important to adhere to the rules for its use.

Composition and release form

"Apimax" for bees is a herbal remedy. It contains extracts of wormwood, horsetail, garlic, echinacea. The product also contains extracts from pepper and eucalyptus.

The balm is produced in bottles of 100 milliliters. It is a black liquid that has a strong scent of pine needles.

Indications for use

The drug helps to strengthen the immunity of bees and helps to cope with a whole range of infectious pathologies. The main indications for its use include the following:

  • varroatosis and acarapidosis - these pathologies are associated with tick activity;
  • ascospherosis and aspergillosis are fungal diseases;
  • ascariasis - develops due to the activity of helminths;
  • foulbrood - is a bacterial infection;
  • nosematosis - is the result of the activity of the Nosema parasite.

Instructions for using "Apimax"

Apimax can be used in the following ways:

  1. Feeding - in this case, the drug is combined with sugar syrup. For 1 bottle of medicine, you need to take 10 milliliters of an additional substance. The composition is added to the feeders or empty combs.
  2. Spraying - this method requires mixing 1 bottle of balm and 2 liters of hot water. It is recommended to process the frame with the cooled compound using a dispenser.

According to the instructions for Apimax, 30-35 milliliters of balm is required for 1 frame. This dosage is used in case of choosing a feeding method. For spraying, 20 milliliters of the substance is enough.

The processing time is chosen taking into account the purpose of using the product. If treatment for nosematosis or prevention of fungal or bacterial infection is required, the procedure is carried out in early spring - until the end of wintering.

Using the balm in autumn increases the immunity of bees before wintering and helps to avoid the development of infections. Treatment of varroatosis is required 1-2 months before the formation of the winter club.

Processing frequency

For the use of Apimax to be effective, you should follow these recommendations for its use:

  1. To prevent the appearance of pathologies, a single spray is sufficient.
  2. For the treatment of nosematosis, it is worth using liquid top dressing twice with a frequency of 3 days.
  3. To combat ascariasis and varroatosis, bees need to be given liquid top dressing 4 times. In this case, the interval between procedures should be 5 days.
  4. To eliminate infectious pathologies, top dressing or spraying with a medicinal solution should be applied until the symptoms are completely eliminated. In this case, the liquid composition is applied every 3 days, and spraying is carried out at intervals of 4 days.
  5. After the elimination of the symptoms of the pathology, it is required to use the drug again. This will help to consolidate the results.

Safety precautions

When using Apimax, you must adhere to the following rules:

  1. Before making the working fluid, wear safety goggles, gloves and a gown.
  2. While working with the substance, stop smoking, eating or drinking.
  3. If the substance gets on the skin, eyes or mucous membranes, immediately rinse the affected areas with running water.
  4. Wash hands thoroughly after completing work.

Terms and conditions of storage

The shelf life of the substance is 3 years. At the same time, it must be kept in a dry and dark place at a temperature of + 5-25 degrees. Keep the balm bottle out of the reach of children and pets.
