Feeding bees with honey in autumn: recipe and proportions for making honey full
Anonim

The purpose of feeding bees with honey in autumn is to prepare insects for a long and cold winter. The introduction of nutrients will help fill the body of insects with the necessary elements and facilitate their wintering. For the procedure to be successful, it is important to adhere to the rules for preparing the composition. Timing of nutrient additions is also important.

Description

After harvesting at the end of August or in the first half of September, the bees need to start preparing for the winter. So that insects do not starve in frosts, it is recommended to leave part of the honey in the combs.

It is also additionally permissible to use special substances, one of which is considered to be honey full. Thanks to this, it is possible to solve the following tasks:

  • saturate the body of insects with nutrients and vitamins before the arrival of spring;
  • prevent pathologies by adding medicines to feed;
  • stimulate the laying of eggs by the queen and increase the population of the bee colony.

Incentive top dressing in the autumn season, which is characterized by adverse weather conditions, helps to keep the laying of eggs. At the same time, old individuals do not die from diseases, and young ones receive a sufficient amount of proteins and vitamins. This allows them to start work in the spring.

Immediately after the first pumping of honey, the bees need to be fed. This helps to avoid stopping the honey harvesting process. Due to the introduction of nutrients, it is possible to make up for the loss of the taken product, because its deficiency negatively affects the performance of insects.

For his wards, the beekeeper must form stocks of pollen and perga every year during the summer. On average, 2 frames of substance are required per 1 hive. Only proper nutrition will help the bees survive the winter and lay their eggs.

Composition and properties

The habitual diet of bees includes pollen and nectar, which they process into bee products. As a top dressing, it is permissible to use honey full. It consists of exclusively natural substances, vitamins and minerals, which are found directly in the nectar and in pure water. They are very important for the normal life of insects. Therefore, such a product can be safely used to feed bees.

Unlike analogues, honey satiety includes proteins, fats and carbohydrates in the correct proportions.So, in sugar syrup there is too much sugar and carbohydrates, while the content of vitamins and minerals is limited. Therefore, this substance does not help provide the bees with the necessary substances.

Honey full better than analogues supports the activity of bees. Thanks to this, they are less likely to encounter diseases, easily survive the winter and get the right amount of vitamins and minerals. In addition, the honey product does not harm the he alth of individuals, which cannot be said about sugar syrup.

Another advantage of honey satiation is the stimulation of egg laying by the uterus. This is done in the spring. By the onset of heat, the bee colony usually decreases. In order for the bees to be able to feed themselves in the following months, additional food should be applied. It helps to increase the number of insects.

How to cook

The correct ratio of substances in honey satiety is of great importance for the activity of bees. At the same time, you can make a product from liquid or candied honey.

From liquid honey

To make syrup, you need to use the following ingredients:

  • 100-150 grams of lime or other type of honey;
  • 200 milliliters of clean drinking water.

To prepare top dressing, it is recommended to do the following:

  1. Pour water into a pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. Cool the liquid to +40 degrees and add honey.
  3. Stir the mass thoroughly so that the bee product is completely dissolved.
  4. Cool the finished solution to room temperature. Hot liquid will harm insects. Therefore, it is allowed to use it only in a warm form.

From candied honey

Syta can also be prepared from candied honey. The ratio recipe looks like this:

  • 80-120 grams of linden or other honey;
  • 200 milliliters of pure water.

To prepare the composition, it is recommended to do the following:

  1. Melt the candied honey in a water bath. At the same time, the beekeeping product must not be overheated.
  2. Add water to a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Cool liquid to +40 degrees and mix with melted bee product.
  4. Cool the mixture to room temperature.

When to give?

You need to start feeding the bees, taking into account regional characteristics. In the south and the Caucasus, it is permissible to do this until October 15. In the northern regions, which are characterized by harsh winters, you can feed the bees for just a few days in September.

The end of the main bribe and the extraction of honey will help to determine the timing more accurately. In the temperate zone, this usually occurs in August. Feeding is allowed to continue through the first week of September. Later, it is not worth using nutrients, because insects that have just been born will be included in the process of processing the syrup. The active supply of food to the nest misleads the uterus.

Rules of application

To get the desired result, you need to feed the bees correctly. In this case, ceiling feeders with a capacity of 1-3 liters should be used. In autumn, insects should be given 200 grams of food per 1 bee colony.

You need to feed the bees once a day. This is done in the evening, when the insects stop flying. By morning, all food should be eaten. If this does not happen, it is recommended to reduce the rate the next day.

Analogues

Sugar syrup is considered the main analogue of honey saty. It is used only when the honey reserves are completely depleted. If the substance is used incorrectly, the entire bee family will suffer.

Unscrupulous beekeepers overfeed insects with syrup, changing their natural food to artificial. As a result, they are deficient in vitamins and minerals, which leads to illness and death.

Autumn feeding of bees with honey is of great importance for the normal functioning of insects. At the same time, it is important to carry it out correctly, taking into account the main recommendations of specialists.
