Variety description
Breeders bred this hybrid for cultivation in open or closed ground conditions. Moreover, it can successfully grow in greenhouses of various types. These tomatoes gained popularity in Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. The period from plant germination to fruit ripening is 108 days.
Characteristics of tomatoes
The fruits of the Malik hybrid turn red after ripening. They do not have a peculiar green coloration around the stem. Their shape is spherical, flattened above and below, with slightly noticeable ribbing. The upper peel of the fruit is dense.
Tomatoes are fleshy with lots of seed chambers. They are resistant to skin cracking. The weight of one fruit can reach 275 g. The bushes of this variety are indeterminate.
Usually, on the first inflorescence, which is formed above the 5th or 6th leaf, 8-10 fruits are tied. Up to 18.3 kg of tomatoes can be harvested per season from one m2. The bush has a powerful root system that provides nutrition to the plant. Even with temperature fluctuations, this vegetable crop shows good yields.
Marketability of fruits is quite high. Due to its characteristics, the tomatoes of this hybrid can be transported over long distances without loss of marketability of the crop. Their keeping quality is noted up to 2 weeks.

The bushes of this hybrid are reliably protected from damage by such diseases and pests:
- gall nematode;
- fusarium;
- cladiosporosis;
- TTM;
- verticellosis;
- grey rot.
Features of planting
It is considered optimal to plant Malik hybrid bushes at a distance of 50 cm in rows, leaving 40 cm between rows. The density of planted plants is 3-4 pcs. by 1 m2.
For the choice of beds, one should take into account the fact with which crops they were planted in previous years. The best predecessors for tomatoes of this variety are: zucchini, carrots, cucumbers, parsley, cauliflower and dill.
Growing Issues
When growing Malika f1 tomatoes, no special conditions are required. Enough timely watering, loosening the soil and removing weeds. It is recommended to feed plants with mineral fertilizers during cultivation. And during planting, you can add a handful of organic fertilizers and ash to the hole.
The tomato bush has medium foliage. They are tall, but have small internodes. To avoid breaking stems, it is recommended to grow them vertically using a support or a stretched trellis.
Reviews
Irina, Perm Region
Although many reviews about the Malik f1 tomato are positive, I can say about their shortcomings. Of course, the high cost of seeds upsets, and it is impossible to get a full-fledged planting material from your own crop.
Also, bushes with brushes of 3-4 tomatoes grew in my garden, instead of the promised 6-10 pieces. To taste, they, like all hybrids, do not differ in high palatability. But I believe that growing these tomatoes, even under adverse weather conditions, you will not be left without a harvest.
