Today, the line of anthelmintic preparations for rabbits is presented in a wide range. If, after taking Albena, the pet has side symptoms, the medicine can be replaced with drugs:
- "Levamisole". For the treatment of rabbits, a 10% injection solution is used. Animals tolerate therapy with this drug well, but the drug cannot be prescribed for the treatment of specimens weakened by other diseases, babies, young tribes under 4 weeks of age.
- "Dirofen-paste". The composition of the medicine includes pumpkin seed oil, which has an anthelmintic effect. In addition, the remedy increases the pet's immunity and accelerates the recovery of mucous membranes affected by helminths. Dirofen relieves rabbits of round and ribbon parasites at any stage of development.
- Suspension "Shustrik". For the purpose of prevention, the remedy is used 1 time in 3 months, for treatment it is used once. The drug is administered to each animal individually or mixed into food or drink. Pets must consume food and water within 24 hours. "Shustrik" effectively eliminates various types of parasitic worms.
- "Albendazole". A fairly strong drug used when parasites have infected the rabbit's internal organs. The tool helps to get rid of not only worms, but also their larvae. Most animals tolerate this remedy well. Application is contraindicated in malnourished animals and pregnant females. To support the pet's weakened body, together with "Albendazole" they give a remedy to strengthen immunity - "Gamavit".
Rabbits, along with other domestic animals, are susceptible to infection with helminthiasis. If timely action is not taken, the parasites will multiply, which will lead to the death of the animals. Another threat is that the worms will not appear for a long time, and it seems that the pet is absolutely he althy. It is important to recognize the disease at an early stage in order to start treatment on time.
