Galera herbicide: instructions for use, mechanism of action and consumption rates

Galera systemic herbicide is used to control annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds. The drug has selective properties, destroys only weeds and does not harm the main crop (rapeseed, mustard, cereals, corn). The herbicide is used only once per season, at the beginning of the growing season.

This is a two-component selective systemic herbicide. It is applied on crops of colza, soy, mustard, grain and corn.Destroys annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds, including chamomile, thistle, thistle, cornflowers, amaranth, bedstraw, dandelion, henbane, ragweed.

Mechanism of drug action

Galera herbicide dissolves in water at the dosage indicated in the instructions. The dissolved pesticide is irrigated with weeds at the very beginning of growth. The drug is used for post-emergence treatment of major crops.

The active ingredients of Galera herbicide are synthetic forms of plant hormones and act only on weeds. The drug penetrates through the leaves and roots into the plant and is distributed to all its organs.

A few hours after application, weeds stop growing. The first visible signs of damage (deformation of leaves, stems, twisting, chlorosis) are noticeable after a day.

Weeds completely die within 1-3 weeks.

How to prepare the working mixture

The solution is prepared from the herbicide and clean, soft, unadulterated water. To spray the field, use a fine sprayer of any brand.

First, a matrix solution is prepared in a plastic container. Take the amount of the drug required for the volume of the sprayer tank and dissolve it in water. The solution is thoroughly mixed. Then half fill the spray tank with water. The matrix mixture is poured in with the stirrer turned on.The herbicide should dissolve well. Then the stirrer is turned off and the required amount of water is added.

Instructions for using the ready solution

Herbicidal solution prepared from water and preparation Galera or Galera Super is used for post-emergence (in the phase of 3 true leaves) treatment of main crops (before the appearance of flower buds in rapeseed). The herbicide kills newly emerging weeds.

Means Galera is effective on heavily weedy crops, fights weeds in the later phases of development.

The drug is used at an ambient temperature of 8 to 25 degrees Celsius. It is forbidden to carry out the processing of the main crops, weakened by frost, diseases, insects, lack of nutrients. The herbicidal solution is not applied to wet weeds, that is, in the early morning, until the dew has dried, or immediately after rain.

One treatment with this herbicide is carried out per season (in early spring, at the very beginning of the growing season). Irrigate the field in dry and calm weather. Dissolved chemicals will have time to penetrate the weeds if it rains 1 hour after spraying.

Safety when using

When working with a herbicidal solution, safety measures must be followed. It is forbidden to inhale vapors and drink the herbicide dissolved in water. How to properly store the drug

Galera herbicide must be used before the expiration date. The drug is stored for no more than 2 years from the date of manufacture. For this pesticide, a separate room is allocated that meets all fire and sanitary standards.
