Alben is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic drug of a new generation.Its main component is albendazole at a concentration of 20%. Available in granular and tablet forms. Suitable for individual and group use in the treatment of goats, sheep, cattle. Well tolerated by pets.

Granules are packaged in 0.5 and 1.0 kilograms in laminated paper bags or polymer cans. Tablets are offered to the consumer in 25 pieces on a foil blister placed in a cardboard box, or 100 pieces in a polymer jar. Each tablet contains 0.36 grams of the active ingredient.

Indications for use

Goats infected with worms become lethargic, lose weight, and if left untreated, may die. They are able to get infected in the pasture, from other animals, by drinking dirty water.

"Alben" has a wide and complex spectrum of action, relieves pets from adult parasites and eggs of worms. Tool active on:

  1. Nematodes - a large number of roundworm species that live in the gastrointestinal tract. For example, when suffering from trichostrongylidosis, hemonchosis, bunostomiasis and other types of helminthic invasions.
  2. Lung nematodes (protostongylosis disease).
  3. Trematodes - flatworms, also called flukes (presence, for example, fascioliasis or dicroceliasis).

The drug is used after prior consultation with a veterinarian. In the presence of helminths in one goat, the entire livestock is treated. "Alben" has low toxicity, is used for preventive purposes. Excellent for mixed helminthic invasion of animals.

How to use Alben for goats

Instruction for the drug contains detailed recommendations for use.The dosage depends on the weight of the animal and the type of worms. For goats, 1 tablet is used per 68-70 kilograms of weight. When affected by pulmonary nematodes, trematodes and cestodes, 1 tablet is taken per 44-45 kilograms.

Pills can be given by placing them whole on the root of the tongue, or dissolved in a small amount of water and poured into the animal's mouth. If there are not many animals, it is convenient to use a syringe without a needle, having previously dissolved the agent. When processing a large number of animals and the drug in granules, Alben can be mixed with your favorite feed.

During the use of the drug should not eat or smoke. Wash your hands thoroughly after using it. Caring for animals, systematic cleaning of their places of detention will reduce the risk of infection.

Important: before taking the drug, you do not need to observe a fasting regimen and use laxatives.

Animal deworming is recommended once a quarter. Goats are given anthelmintic drugs from the age of 3 months.

Are there any contraindications and side effects

There are very few contraindications for the drug. It belongs to hazard class 4 and cannot be poisonous. It should not be given in the following cases:

  • with individual intolerance;
  • in the first third of pregnancy;
  • with dystrophy and weakness of animals.

When using the drug for the first time, it should be tested on one or a small group of animals. Intolerance can be manifested by fever, lethargy and diarrhea. There is no information on overdose of the drug, but it should be used in accordance with the instructions or recommendations of veterinarians.

After using the drug, milk should not be eaten for 4 days. Cattle are slaughtered no earlier than 2 weeks after using Albena.

Terms and conditions of storage

Keep the drug in its original packaging, away from food and feed. It should not be exposed to sunlight. Choose a place inaccessible to children and pets, with normal humidity. The term of use is no more than 3 years from the date of manufacture.
