Composition and release form of the product

The product is produced by DuPont Himprom in the form of a wettable powder and a concentrated emulsion with the active substance methomyl in the amount of 250 g per 1 kg or ml per 1 liter. Methomyl belongs to the carbamates. Insecticide according to the method of penetration is systemic.

Effect of Lannat on pests

Affects insects that are in any stage of development, including the egg stage. The larvae and adults die when the solution hits their surface, and after they eat the leaves soaked in the solution.

Methomyl blocks acetylcholinesterase in pest cells. The defeat is expressed in overexcitation of the nervous system of the insect, subsequent paralysis and death. 40% die in the first 15 minutes, 70% - within an hour, within 4 hours - 90% of pests. Methomyl decomposes quickly, the solution is not washed off the surface of the foliage during watering and during rains.

Scope of application

"Lannat" is used in agriculture on apple trees, grapes, onions, cabbage, tomatoes and peas from codling moths, leafworms, flies, thrips, moths, scoops, aphids, caryopses and nodule weevils.

The rate of application of "Lannat" is different for different crops (in kg per ha):

• apple trees - 1.4-1.8;
• grapes and peas - 0.8-1;
• onion, cabbage, tomato - 0.8-1.2.

Fluid consumption is also different:

• for an apple tree - 600-1200 l;
• grapes - 600-1000 l;
• for peas from weevils - 100-200 l;
• for other crops - 200-400 l.

Onions, cabbage and peas are processed 2 times, apple trees, vineyards and tomatoes - 3 times. The waiting period for tomatoes is 5 days, apple trees - 7, for others - 15 days. People are allowed to go to work one week after processing.

It is recommended to use "Lannat" prophylactically when hatching larvae that have just begun to appear.The solution should be distributed over the entire surface of the plants, moisten all the leaves. Repeated treatments should be carried out 7-12 days after the first. In practice, it has been established that Lannat is most effective in combination with Avant.

"Lannat" belongs to the means with hazard class 2, that is, moderately dangerous. Precautions include wearing protective clothing, a respirator and goggles. Protective devices are needed to protect the eyes, skin and respiratory tract from getting the drug into them. While work is in progress, you can not remove them. After completing the work, be sure to wash your face and hands with soap and water. If suddenly the solution gets on the skin or in the eyes, you need to rinse them with plenty of liquid.

If symptoms of poisoning are observed, seek medical attention. Methomyl poisoning is manifested by dizziness, headache, sweating, heavy breathing, constriction of the pupils, convulsions, vomiting and nausea, and loss of consciousness may occur.The substance may be absorbed through the skin.

In terms of toxicity to bees, Lannat belongs to class 1, that is, this insecticide is highly toxic to beneficial insects. It can not be used near apiaries and during the flowering period of trees. Treat with wind up to 1-2 m/s; the zone for protecting bees should be at least 4-5 km; limiting the summer of insects - at least 5-6 days. Also, you can not use insecticide in areas near which there are reservoirs and fish farms.

Compatibility with other drugs

"Lannat" can be mixed with products with indoxacarb, folpet, captan, benomyl, zineb, dimethoate, phosmet, wettable sulfur, malathion. Do not mix with Bordeaux liquid, a solution of lime and sulfur, with iron-containing preparations and products with a strong alkaline reaction. Slightly alkaline solutions should be consumed immediately, in order to avoid a strong weakening of the insecticidal effect.

Expiration date and packaging of the drug

"Lannat" is sold in foil bags of 200 g or in canisters of 1 liter. It is necessary to store in dark, ventilated, dry rooms, at a temperature not exceeding 40 ˚С. Do not stack food, medicines and livestock feed nearby, you can store other pesticides and fertilizers. After the shelf life expires, the remnants of the product must be disposed of and a new drug purchased. The prepared solution should be used on the day of manufacture, do not keep longer than 1 day.

Analogues of insecticide

Lannat has no analogues in terms of the active substance. To destroy the pest species against which the insecticide works, you need to choose other drugs.
