Sowing seeds

Seeds of Tarasenko Anniversary tomato varieties are sown at the end of March, and seedlings are planted in a permanent place after 60 days. If you want to plant seedlings in a greenhouse, you can sow seeds 14 days earlier.

You can make your own soil by mixing 3 parts soddy soil, 2 parts humus and 1 part wood ash. Warm the soil in the oven for 1 hour at a temperature of 200 degrees.

Put the seeds in a bag and place for 15 minutes. in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Then you can treat the seeds with the growth stimulator Immunocytophyte.

When sowing, make an indent between the seeds in a box of 2 cm, deepen them by 2 cm, powdering with soil. Then pour warm, well-settled clean water from a spray bottle, cover with a film or glass, leave small holes for ventilation. Place the box in a warm room with an air temperature of +25 - 30 ° C.

When the first sprouts appear, remove the cover, put the box on a bright windowsill. When 2 true leaves appear, seedlings dive into a 300 ml container. On days without sun, illuminate the bushes with lamps.

14 days before transplanting seedlings to the site, harden them, first taking them out for 1 - 2 hours on the balcony, and then - for 3 - 4 hours.

Planting bushes in a permanent place

In autumn, scatter manure and complex mineral fertilizers on the ground, dig the soil to the depth of a shovel. In the spring, pour the earth with a solution of potassium permanganate, dig again.

When 50 - 60 days have passed from sowing the seeds, then plant the seedlings in the ground. Dig pits 30 cm deep, 15 cm wide, indent between the pits 70 cm in a checkerboard pattern. After that, pour hot water into the pits, then wait until the liquid has cooled. Plant by placing on 1 sq. m 3 bushes. If the seedling is too long, then place it in a hole at an angle so that it lies. Then carefully water each bush.

Care

The first week after planting the seedlings on the site, do not water it. Then tie up the tomatoes. Drive in the pegs, keeping a distance of 3 m between the stakes, place extensions at the top. Between the pegs, stretch the wire in several rows and tie the bushes. The next day after watering or rain, loosen the soil. Leave 1 - 2 stems, cut off the rest. Pluck stepsons up to 4 cm every 10 days. Cut off every 10 days 2 - 3 lower leaves.

Water after the top layer of the earth dries, pour warm and well-settled water under the root in the evening, trying not to get on the leaves. Water once every 10 - 14 days. After watering and rain, loosen the soil. Weed plantings from weeds 3 - 4 times per season.

To prevent fungal diseases, treat tomatoes 3 times in a season with preparations with copper. Inspect the bushes from time to time, pull out the weeds.

Feed seedlings with nitrogen only until mid-summer. When 14 days have passed after planting the seedlings, then fertilize with phosphorus so that good roots grow and it starts growing. Feed with potassium when the tomatoes bloom.

To properly form the bushes, when they are 1.5 - 1.7 m high, pinch the top. In addition, pluck the brushes, the fruits on which did not start. The first bunches can weigh up to 3 kg, tie them up because of this.

Since tomatoes ripen unevenly and non-simultaneously, they are removed unripe: the fruits then ripen during storage.
