Tomato Krivyansky: characteristics and description of the variety, cultivation and care with a photo
Tomato Krivyansky f1 belongs to the hybrid varieties of early ripening. The first fruits are removed on average after 90-95 days. The description speaks of a small growth of shoots, since the average height of the bushes reaches 120 cm. Upon reaching this indicator, the growth of tomato bushes stops.
The stems are powerful, thick, the plant has a developed strong rhizome. Due to this feature, the variety is one of the few varieties of hybrids that are able to withstand high temperatures for a long time in hot weather with insufficient rainfall and watering.
Leaf plates of the standard plant are medium in size and dark green in color. A distinctive quality of the bushes is the presence of a pleasant spicy aroma.
Distinctive qualities of fruits
Characteristics of the variety emphasize the peculiarity of the fruits of the plant in the form of teaching almost calibrated tomatoes. Krivyansky tomatoes are small in size, and the average tomato varies from 150 to 200 grams. The fruits are characterized by a rounded shape and a small pointed nose stands out in the lower part of the fruit. The color of vegetables is even, bright scarlet, without the presence of green areas at the base and stalk.
Tomatoes have a fairly dense pulp structure, which at the same time is distinguished by good juiciness and a rich tomato flavor. Due to the thickness and hardness of the skins, vegetables are well stored, able to withstand minor shocks and difficult transport conditions.
The advantage of the variety is its excellent ability to tolerate difficult growing conditions and the presence of immunity to almost all varieties of tomato diseases of infectious and fungal origin. Even with growth in non-ideal conditions, tomato fruit yields from 1 m² from 19 to 20 kg.
Growing advice
The variety is grown in seedlings. The planting material does not need additional pre-sowing treatment, so the disinfection and impregnation of seeds with a nutrient solution is carried out by the manufacturer.
The recommended time for planting is March-April. Planting time is determined individually depending on the climatic conditions of the area and the desired harvesting period. The advantage of seeds is considered to be almost 100% germination rate.
Planting of seedlings is carried out on the 56-60th day from the moment the first shoots appear. Before transplanting into open ground, the soil must first be processed. It is recommended to enrich it with the following components:
- peat;
- ash;
- charcoal;
- organic fertilizers.
It is advisable to shed the hole immediately before planting the seedling with a solution of potassium permanganate to protect the roots from rodents and insects. The best predecessors are squash and cucumber crops, carrots, cauliflower, parsley and dill.
It is recommended to adhere to the planting pattern 50 by 40 or 40 by 40. There should be from 7 to 9 bushes per 1 m².
The plant needs to be provided with a garter, as under the weight of the tomato, the shoots begin to sag and break.During the season, monthly feeding is required, otherwise the yield decreases significantly. It is recommended to stick to alternating chemical and organic fertilizers.
