Peanut is a he althy nut with a pleasant taste. It is consumed raw, added to pastries and other dishes. But this product contains a lot of moisture and oil, so without proper processing, peanuts begin to rot. The hostess is faced with the question of how to dry peanuts, for example, in the oven. There are other ways, depending on the kitchen appliances and how much time you can spend drying.

How to dry peanuts in the oven?

Drying in the oven is the easiest and longest way. Depending on how dry the raw material is, it may take half an hour or even an hour. You need to dry on a baking sheet that is not smeared with anything, but you can put baking paper.

Drying peanuts at home is as follows:

  1. First the oven is preheated to 175-180°C (this will take about 15 minutes).
  2. Spread the beans on a baking sheet in a thin layer, even better if they don't touch each other. For this reason, process a large volume in several passes.
  3. Stir after another 15 minutes and raise the temperature to 200°C.
  4. At the last step, wait until the nuts begin to crackle - this will mean that they are ready. Do not leave the kitchen at the same time, otherwise you may miss the moment and the nuts will burn. Turn off oven, wait 10-15 minutes and remove.

The oven is ideal for drying unshelled nuts. It is processed in much the same way as without the shell. The main thing is to check the nuts before drying. Not only the appearance is important. If you feel that one of them is not firmly in the shell, beats against the walls, then such peanuts will not work.

Unpeeled peanuts are dried for 20-30 minutes in a deep pan. Temperature - 175-200 °C. To check if a peanut is ready, take one bean and peel off the shell. If the thin husk under it is removed easily, then everything is done correctly.

Microwave drying

Compared to an oven, a microwave dries almost instantly. For this you will need a flat plate:

  1. Spread the beans on a plate in a thin layer.
  2. Place the plate in the microwave, cook for 1 minute. Required power - 800 watts.
  3. Stir thoroughly.
  4. With the same power, set the timer for 20 seconds, so 4-6 times. After the fourth time, taste the peanuts before setting the timer again to determine the doneness.

You can't dry shelled peanuts in the microwave, but you can leave the shells on. Also, do not process more than 200 grams of beans at a time.

Drying in a skillet

The drying pan should be deep, with thick walls and a bottom. It is better to peel the beans from the shell, the rest of the skin will peel off by itself. Then spread them in a thin layer and put on a small fire for 15 minutes. It is important to constantly stir the beans. To check, break one open - if it is golden, then it is ready.

Dry the inshell peanuts in the pan. Before doing this, soak the nuts in water for 20-30 minutes, then rub to remove debris. But in whatever form you dry this product, immediately after cooking, transfer it to another dish. If this is not done, the frying process will continue due to the heated pan.

Can I dry peanuts in a slow cooker?

Peanuts can also be dried well in a slow cooker:

  1. Pour a glass of beans into the slow cooker.
  2. Turn on the "Baking" mode.
  3. Leave for half an hour.

Plus multicooker is that drying does not need to be constantly monitored. It is enough to wait for the signal and get the finished beans. Shelled nuts are used. You can immediately add s alt to taste.

Using an electric dryer

The electric dryer dries the longest of all kitchen appliances. The whole process can take from 18 to 26 hours. At the same time, nuts should not be left unattended for a long time, they need to be turned over, checking the degree of drying. But a large amount of peanuts can be processed immediately in the dryer.

Heater

Heater is also quite a convenient way to dry, although it takes a long time - about two weeks. You can dry, for example, on a radiator when there is heating, or with a stove. To do this, it is enough to put the nuts in a reliable container and place them over a heat source. Do not put them in a thick layer, a maximum of 15 centimeters. Even so, the peanuts need to be stirred occasionally.

Aerogrill

Drying with an airfryer is the second fastest after a multicooker. There are two ways to cook:

  1. At 225 °C, the ventilation speed is high. Dry the peanuts for 10-12 minutes.
  2. If you dry on a high rack, which you wrap with foil before, it will take only 5 minutes to dry at 180° C.

Plus airfryer is high-quality drying and convenience. But there is a risk of overdrying the nuts, so adjust the temperature carefully.

All methods are quite easy. A lot depends on whether you can constantly check the readiness of the nuts, stir them, and also on the desired result.
