Fungicide Impact: instructions for use, consumption rate, mechanism of action

Impact is a universal fungicide used to protect against fungal diseases of winter and spring varieties of cereals, beets, legumes, apple trees and grapes. It can deal with most types of rust, spotting and other fungi. When used correctly, this drug can both prevent and treat harmful pathogens.

Composition and release form of the fungicide Impact

This fungicide contains the active substance - flutriafol. The release form of the drug differs in the amount of the active element. There are 2 varieties:

  1. 12.5% active.
  2. 25% active.

What can it handle and how does it work?

Impact will help to cope with diseases:

  • rust (brown, yellow, stem);
  • Septoria;
  • fusarium;
  • helminthosporiosis (including brown and net spotting);
  • powdery mildew;
  • pyrenophorosis;
  • Rhynchosporiasis.

Since the drug contains flutriafol, it is quickly absorbed into the plant and moves through its tissues. Because of this, it starts working after it hits the surface of the leaves or trunk. After 30 minutes, the drug is not washed off with water or rain.

Because the Impact diverges inside the plant, it protects the unopened leaves.

Protection period and exposure speed

The drug begins to work 30 minutes after spraying it on the surface of the plant.

It also provides crop or garden protection for 1-1.5 months after use.

Pros and cons of funds

From the advantages of the drug can be identified:

  • performance. Begins to work actively immediately after hitting the plant tissue;
  • prophylactic effect;
  • long protection period;
  • effective against most fungal diseases;
  • suitability for various plants;
  • precipitation resistance;
  • compatible with most fertilizers and pesticides;
  • low toxicity to bees and humans;
  • Air spraying capability.

Impact has 2 significant drawbacks:

  1. With prolonged and frequent processing of the territory causes immunity to it in fungal diseases.
  2. Not recommended for spraying flowering plants.

Drug consumption rates

Amount of drug required for different plants:

  • 0.5-0.8 liters per 1 hectare for winter varieties;
  • 0.7-1 liter per 1 hectare for sunflower;
  • 0.5-0.8 liters per 1 hectare for beets;
  • 0.6-0.8 liters per hectare for legumes;
  • 0.7-1 liter per hectare for rice.

For 1 season, you need to make 1-4 treatments, depending on the plants being treated. For spraying from the air, 60 to 100 liters of mixture per 1 hectare are used.

Rules for preparing the working mixture

To prepare the solution you need:

  • thoroughly mix the drug in the canister;
  • dissolve 60-80 milliliters of the substance in 100 liters of water.

Instructions for using the ready solution

On a large area, the mixture is applied using a boom or fan sprayer. Smaller areas can be sprayed with a spray gun, while plantations and fields use aerial irrigation. Treatment with the drug should be carried out within 12 hours after mixing the solution.

When used against Fusarium and Septoria, add fungicides containing benomyl or chlorothalonil to the mixture. They increase the effectiveness of the drug and reduce the risk of developing immunity of the fungus to it.If fungicides with morphalin are added to the solution, the protection of the substance against yellow rust will increase.

Use of the drug on certain plant species

The application of the mixture differs depending on the crop being irrigated:

  1. Grapes. The drug is used in the treatment and prevention of Oidium. Processing should be carried out when the leaves appear and before flowering.
  2. Fruit trees. For the prevention and treatment of scab and powdery mildew, treatment must be carried out before flowering and during the formation of fruits. When these diseases appear, trees should be treated once every 2 weeks.
  3. Cereals. When spraying with this mixture, the protection of plants against most types of spotting, rust and other fungi in cereal varieties increases. Crops should be processed during the growing season.
  4. Sugar beet. The drug is used to protect and treat beets from powdery mildew, phomosis and cercosporosis. You need to process 1 time during the growing season.

Medication Precautions

Impact does not harm humans, but general safety precautions for working with chemicals must be followed when applying. Contact with mucous membranes, eyes and respiratory tract must be avoided.

Fungicide toxicity level

Impact is in category 3 toxicity. It can be safely used near apiaries and water bodies. This substance has low toxicity to humans.

Possibility of resistance

If used frequently in the same area, the drug may cause resistance. To avoid such a situation, Impact should be alternated with fungicides that have a different principle of action on fungal diseases.

Compatible with other drugs?

The drug is compatible with most fungicides (Dinadim Expert, Vantex). To increase the effectiveness of the Impact, you should use mixtures that include:

  • Chlorothalonil (1 liter of substance per 1 hectare);
  • benomyl (0.4-0.6 liters per 1 hectare).

Storage of funds

Store Undiluted Impact should be at a temperature from -10 °C to +30 °C. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. The shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture. When using, mix the canister thoroughly. The finished mixture should not be stored for more than 12 hours.

Analogues

Analogues of Impact are fungicides containing flutriafol.

Such substances are:

  • flutrivit;
  • top effect;
  • fulgor;
  • paratarget.
