It is a clear, opalescent liquid. The drug may be colorless or have a light yellow tint.It is packaged in dark glass bottles with a capacity of 500, 400, 250, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 1 milliliter, closed with rubber stoppers reinforced with aluminum caps. Or in polymer opaque bottles with plastic screw caps.

The injection form is used for cows, deer, rams, goats, pigs. The oral formulation is suitable for poultry (chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, quails).

The main active ingredient of the drug - ivermectin, is active against lung, gastrointestinal nematodes (larvae and mature individuals), gadfly larvae, bloodsuckers, various types of ticks. Chlorine ions, penetrating through the membranes of the nerve and muscle cells of the parasites, prevent the passage of nerve impulses, this causes paralysis and death of the parasites. In veterinary medicine, it is used to treat cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry.

After injection, ivermectin quickly penetrates into the systemic circulation and organs, acts within 1.5-2 weeks, and is excreted by the kidneys. It is found in the bile and milk of a cow. The medicine belongs to substances moderately dangerous for humans, it is poisonous to fish and bees. Ivermectin is a substance of hazard class 1 (extremely toxic to humans) in high concentration.

Side effects

The drug is not used for lactating cows, debilitated and sick animals. Milk after treatment can be consumed after 28 days, the same period must pass before slaughter. Do not administer Ivermek to pregnant animals.
