How to determine the sex of a kid: simple ways and differences between females and males

Newborn kids have neither horns nor udders, and their physique is not much different from each other. All this greatly complicates the task of determining sex. Since signs of sex differences are visible from birth, the genitals of animals should be checked or observed to clarify the sex.

To determine the sex of a small goat, you should run your palm along the abdominal cavity and between the hind legs. In goats, two small milkings are found, in goats, a small seed sac covered with hairs is groped. In females, under the tail below the anus, the genital gap is also clearly visible.

If after all the manipulations there are doubts about the sex of the newborn animal, then you can see how the goats relieve themselves.

The male in the process simply spreads his hind legs, lowering the lumbar region. The female spreads her hooves and crouches a little. The direction of the urine stream also indicates the sex of the animal - in the goat it is visible in the belly area, in the female - from under the tail.
