Breeding guinea fowl is not yet so popular that those who want to start a household know all the subtleties of this art. The young of these birds are not sold in every market or in any incubator. Therefore, once you have obtained eggs or chickens of exotic birds, it is most practical in the future to at least partially replenish your livestock yourself. Features of oviposition

Guinea fowl can rush quite intensively. With an average of 120-150 eggs per year, there are countries that have achieved stable production from females of 120-170 (Hungary) and even 130-190 (Canada, Great Britain) units.There are individual individuals with unique results approaching three hundred pieces per year. Such numbers are reassuring to breeders that in the future, guinea fowl will be able to compete with chickens in the production of a dietary product with a special taste and nutritional composition.

So far, most of the eggs laid by guinea fowls are used to prolong their kind. These birds enter puberty late. The guinea fowl can make the first laying at the 9th month of age. The selection of productive layers for a tribe is difficult, since all females lay eggs in a common nest. At first, they are small in a young guinea fowl, but after a week and a half they gain the desired size. The first products for breeding chicks are not suitable.

The feathered shows the highest rates of egg production in the first year of its "labor activity". At first, the bird carries 2 pcs. every 3 days with occasional rest breaks. By the end of the warm season, the number of eggs decreases. It has been observed that the earlier the female laid her first egg, the more successful she will be as a laying hen.

In the second year, performance drops, but the product gets bigger. These eggs hatch significantly more chicks as a percentage of the total laying. In addition, such a brood is more enduring and slightly larger in weight than first-year chicks. Starting next year, the number of eggs laid and their incubation quality will decrease.

The question is interesting, since any owner seeks to take advantage of the warm season. Of course, newborn cesareans, like chickens of other poultry, in a small private household are not so expensive to keep warm for several weeks in the summer kitchen, in the hallway, or even in the house by the radiator or stove.

But if the chicks appear at the height of the season, then time is lost for them to grow up in favorable conditions without additional financial costs.

After all, poultry farmers practice leaving the best individuals of both sexes for the winter to maintain the livestock. The most successful hatching of chickens depends on the quality of eggs poured under the brood hen. The best option is if the incubation material is viewed on an ovoscope before laying. Easily identified signs of marriage:

• cracks of any size on the shell;
• talkers (gurgle when shaken and beat easily);
• blood clots in protein;
• 2 yolks.

As many eggs are placed in the nest under the mother hen as she can completely cover with her body and plumage.
