  4. The iris can have different shades. From honey or amber to cherry color. Sometimes the bird loses the pigment of the iris, then the eyes become gray or pearly.

A pigeon can perceive 75 frames per minute, a human only 24.

How do doves see?

Visual acuity in birds is much higher than in humans, their eye perceives more shades, they see in the ultraviolet spectrum. At dusk, the pigeon's vision is worse than in bright light. In their perception, objects move slower than for a person. Pigeon eyes have a 360 degree viewing angle. If it were not for the slow reaction, due to the specific perception, the bird would not be surprised or caught.

Doves are born with blue eyes. As you grow older, the color of the iris changes.
