But before using the drug, you need to learn more about the properties of the continuous herbicide and its use for the destruction of perennial and annual weeds.

The basis of the drug Total active substance is glysophat, the second name of which is isopropylamine s alt. The chemical compound in the preparation is not presented in its pure form, but in the form of an aqueous solution.

If there are 480 grams of glysophate per liter of water, the herbicide is called Total 480. To purchase a less concentrated solution, choose Total 360.

Speed and duration of impact

Symptoms of the gradual effect of the drug:

1. Foliage: yellowing, then browning, then wilting.
2. Death of plant parts: stems, then roots, finally, underground sprouts.

Symptoms of herbicide exposure appear on annual weeds 3-4 days after treatment. On perennials - for 7-10 days. The death of weeds occurs in 10-15 days. But there may be a delay of up to 30 days. It all depends on the weather and the type of weed.

Consumption rates

The calculation is carried out depending on the type of weeds that will be processed. For one-year-old weeds, 2-4 liters per 1 ha are needed. For perennials, the rate is increased to 4-6 liters.

Preparation of working solution

Preparation of the solution is carried out strictly according to the instructions:

1. Calculate the required dosage, depending on the area of the treated area.

3. Total is added with constant stirring of the solution.

How to use it correctly?

1. Annual weeds are processed when the first 2 leaves are formed.
2. Perennial weeds are sprayed during rosette formation.

4. Using herbicide for perennial grass is reasonable at stem height of 10-12 cm.

Important! Before preparing for spraying with Total herbicide, it is recommended to inquire about the weather forecast. If rain is expected within the next 6 hours, the processing does not make sense.

Precautions and storage

Herbicide treatment is not recommended if the wind speed is more than five meters per second. In strong winds, the chemical can get on the crops. To prevent this from happening, on shrubs, the lower branches are cut off, and the rest are covered with agromaterial or a casing.

Because it is a third hazard class drug, it is stored at 5-35 °C in a closed container with a tight lid.
