Insecticide Ivanhoe: instructions for use and composition, dosage and analogues

The effectiveness of crop pest control largely determines the quality and quantity of the crop. The preparation "Ivanhoe" is used as an insecticide for the treatment of plantings of various crops, apple orchards and pasture lands. The modern agent has a complex effect without penetrating into the conductive system of plants, ensures the eradication of a wide range of insects and subsequent protection of plantings.

Composition and formulation of "Ivanhoe"

The insecticidal effect of the Ivanhoe drug is due to the effects of the synthetic pyrethroid alpha-cypermethrin, which is part of it. The substance is contained in an amount of 100 grams per 1 liter of the total volume of the base.

The product is in the form of a concentrated emulsion, packaged in 5 liters in a plastic screw container for use in farmland and 10 milliliters for use in summer cottages and household plots.

Purpose and principle of operation of the insecticide

Insecticide "Ivanhoe" is intended for surface treatment of plantings of cereals, vegetables, peas, apple trees and pasture meadows. A wide spectrum of action of the drug allows you to quickly get rid of various types of pests, including difficult-to-eradicate and specific ones, as well as provide plantings with stable protection against re-infection for a period of at least 7 days.

Alpha-cypermethrin as part of an insecticide refers to contact pesticides that penetrate the pest's body through the integument of the body. The compound also acts after entering the intestines when eating poison-treated vegetation.

The substance disrupts the functioning of the nervous system of insects, affecting calcium metabolism and the functioning of sodium-potassium channels, which causes an excessive release of acetylcholine at the time of nerve stimulation. As a result of impaired motor function, paralysis and death of poisoned individuals occur.

The preparation is concentrated on the surface and in the cuticle of the treated plants. The effect develops quickly. The result of the application of "Ivanhoe" is observed within 30-60 minutes after treatment. Due to the persistent repellent effect after use, plants do not attract insects.

In household plots, it is allowed to use Ivanhoe for insecticidal treatment of plantings of potatoes from the Colorado potato beetle and apple trees from leafworms, codling moths and aphids. The dose of the drug for a potato plot of 100 × 100 meters is 1 milliliter, which must be dissolved in 5 liters of water. To process one apple tree, you need 1.5 milliliters of suspension diluted in 5 liters of water.

Treatment with Ivanhoe insecticide is carried out by spraying plantings during the growing season with a working fluid. The solution for work is an aqueous dilution of the emulsion concentrate.To prepare a dilution, it is necessary to pour a third of the total amount of water into a container of the appropriate volume and add an accurately measured amount of concentrate. After thorough mixing, the remaining water is added to the tank. The solution is used on the day of breeding.

Safety when using

The insecticide is classified as a class of chemicals moderately hazardous to human he alth (hazard class 3).

When working with the drug, the following rules must be observed:

• use protective clothing to prevent contact of the suspension with open areas of the body;
• use personal protective equipment (rubber gloves, respirator, goggles or screen);
• restrict access to the work area for unauthorized persons;
• avoid eating during work and observe the rules of personal hygiene.

The drug is toxic to insect pollinators (hazard class 1). It is necessary to notify nearby beekeeping farms of the date of the treatment to limit the summer of bees for a period of at least 96 hours. It is not recommended to use the product during the period of mass flowering of gardens.

Pesticide compatibility

"Ivanhoe" is compatible with most pesticides, with the exception of preparations that include compounds of the alkaline series.

How to store properly

The container with the concentrate is stored in isolation from household items, food and veterinary feed mixtures, out of the reach of children and animals, at a temperature not lower than -5 °С and not higher than +30 °С. The canister is placed away from heaters and areas exposed to direct sunlight.
