The room should maintain a constant temperature of +5-7 °C in winter and +20 °C in summer. In addition, you need to take care of good ventilation and timely cleaning, keeping the house clean.

Install the required number of drinkers and feeders so that the birds can approach them at the same time. Chubby pigeons love to swim, so there should be a container in the dovecote in which they can splash. Change the water as soon as it gets dirty.

The Nikolaev chubats are fed with dry grain or they cook porridge from millet, oats, peas, you can use wheat, corn. They are fed with rapeseed and flax seeds, mineral and vitamin supplements. The grain should not have a lot of protein and fat so that the birds do not get fat. An average-sized pigeon should receive 70-80 g of grain per day. When feeding birds with dry grain, fresh water must be constantly poured into the drinkers. Grated vegetables and fruits, chopped greens can be added to the feed.
