Optimal timing

The sapling is planted in the spring on a place prepared in advance in the fall. Considering that the plant will begin to bear fruit from the age of four or five, the preparation and proper placement of Tenderness can be decisive factors for obtaining a crop.

Choice of location and planting material

For planting, choose a strong, he althy seedling of two years of age with a well-developed root system and intact buds. This will strengthen the plant's own immunity, allow it to take root well and develop powerful roots.

Pears do not tolerate groundwater close to the surface, so elevated, sunny areas are chosen for them. The soil is prepared ahead of time, in the fall. To do this, the site is cleared of weeds, dug up, introducing lime in acidic soils.

After processing, humus or well-rotted compost, sand, wood ash and superphosphate are added to the soil, mixing the earth with a pitchfork.

Fitting technology

Dig a hole under the seedling 1-1.2 meters deep, 60-80 centimeters wide. A stick at least 50 centimeters high is driven into the middle of the landing pit. Such a stake will serve as a guide for even planting a seedling.

The resulting pit is filled by two-thirds with a nutrient earthen mixture based on humus or other organic materials, mixed with long-acting mineral fertilizers. The finished pit is left to settle for 14 days, then the prepared seedling is placed in the middle of the pit, spreading the roots over the surface of the mound, then falling asleep with the prepared earth. The root neck of the pear should remain 5 centimeters above the surface.
