Buten or shushan is a plant from the Umbelliferae family, which has both beneficial properties and contraindications. The name reflects the main property: the leaves exude a pleasant aroma. Grass grows wild or is grown on purpose.

Description of the plant

Butene always has tubers or rhizomes. Many agronomists, in order to more accurately describe this plant, compare it with carrots and parsnips in terms of growth.The tubers are as fragrant as the leaves. By the type of pulp, the tubers resemble the pulp of a turnip or carrot, have a yellowish-white tint.

Europe and North America used to use the rhizomes to make purees, side dishes or casseroles. Today tuberous buten or shushan is quite often used as a spice. On sale you can find pickled vegetables. This dish is especially loved by Armenians. Small jars of marinated shushan are often sold in Armenia.

Seeds do not need to be germinated before sowing - it is enough to plant seeds before winter. In spring, seedlings will be thick, then they are seated, then watered abundantly.

Grass grows on any soil, even those with a high content of sand or clay. Plantings should be provided with regular watering - then the leaves will be thick and green.
