Fungicide Rakurs: instructions for use, mechanism of action, consumption rates
When growing any crop, you have to deal with the appearance of pests or diseases. No one is immune from this, so you have to resort to various chemicals. One of the effective fungicides is the drug "Rakurs".
Composition and release form of the fungicide "Rakurs"
The composition of the chemical includes two active substances - cyproconazole and epoxiconazole. It is a two-component fungicide with a systemic effect on plants. The drug "Rakurs" is produced in the form of a suspension concentrate, which is diluted with running water before use.
Advantages and disadvantages
The benefits of using Rakurs include:
- Long-lasting protective action after treatment (duration is about 4 weeks).
- The solution is non-toxic to humans and insects.
- Protective properties appear almost immediately after spraying.
- Suitable for major diseases in cereals and soybeans.
- Compatible with most other drugs.
- Long shelf life.
- Active substances quickly penetrate plant tissues, thanks to this property, the drug is not washed off even after heavy and prolonged rainfall.
Significant flaws in the drug "Rakurs" were not found.
Spectrum and mechanism of action
"Rakurs" is used to treat the following diseases:
- all types of rust;
- mesh spotting;
- anthracnose;
- cercosporosis;
- powdery mildew and other fungal diseases;
- alternariosis.
Cyproknazol has a protective and healing effect on plants. Thanks to him, the chemical is highly soluble in water. Quickly penetrates the leaves (half an hour after processing). Then it moves to all parts of the plant.
Epoxiconazole has a preventive effect. After spraying, it quickly penetrates into plant tissues through the leaves and mixes with other parts. Of the benefits of this substance, activity is distinguished both in cold and warm weather.
Also, the preparation contains specific polymers, which, due to their action, ensure that a drop of solution “sticks” to the sheet. After the treatment, the solution completely penetrates into all tissues of the treated plants in 2 hours.
Speed of impact and period of protective action
The drug begins to act on diseases almost immediately after treatment. The duration of the protective action is approximately 1 month. The term may vary slightly due to climatic conditions and a number of other factors.
Presence measures for various pests and diseases
Crop treatment | Disease | Product consumption (l per 1 ha) |
Spring and winter wheat | Powdery mildew, all types of rust, spotting, septoria, pyrenophorosis0.2-0.3
Powdery mildew, rust, net and dark brown spotting, the chemical is also used for rhynchosporiasis | 0.2-0.3
All types of powdery mildew, brown as well as stem rust, rhynchosporiasis | 0.3-0.4 | 0.2 |
Preparing the working mixture
200 liters of mortar will be required for 1 ha. For aviation processing - 50 liters per 1 ha. The preparation of the solution for spraying takes place in stages. First, the canister with the suspension is thoroughly shaken. Then the required amount of solution is poured into the tank and half of the water is poured. Mix thoroughly and pour the rest of the water.
The optimum air temperature during processing is from +17 to +20 degrees. It is recommended to carry out the procedure 2 hours before the start of precipitation.
Instructions for use
Use the solution immediately after preparation. Spraying is recommended on a dry and calm day after sunset. Or early in the morning before the sun came up.
Spraying is carried out as a preventive measure before the start of the growing season. Or at the first sign of illness at any time. Only two treatments are allowed per season.
Precautions
It is recommended to spray on a calm day so that the solution is not sprayed in all directions by the wind. To prevent the solution from getting on the skin or mucous membranes, wear tight, closed clothing. It will not be superfluous to wear a mask and goggles so that the solution does not get into your mouth and eyes.
If the solution gets into the eyes, rinse them immediately with plenty of running water. It is also better to consult a doctor after this. If the solution comes into contact with exposed skin, wash them with plenty of soap and water.
First aid for poisoning
If symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness or any other symptoms appear after the procedure, immediate action should be taken. First of all, it is to call a doctor. You can also drink activated charcoal.
Toxicity
The chemical has an average degree of toxicity, so you should wear closed clothing, a mask and goggles before the procedure. For insects, the drug is not toxic. However, it is forbidden to use it near open water bodies.
Compatibility
The chemical is compatible with most other drugs, with the exception of those that are strongly alkaline or strongly acidic. Before using several products at the same time, their compatibility should be checked. For this, the area is treated with a small amount of substances. If the plants have not died, then you can start processing the entire field.
Storage conditions
Keep the Racurs chemical in a dark room with good ventilation, away from sunlight and food. The optimum temperature in the room where the solution will be stored should be from -30 to +35 degrees.If a diluted liquid remains after processing, it is prohibited to store it. It should also be a place where there is no access to animals and children. Shelf life is 3 years.
Fungicide analogues
Analogues include Rakurs SK, Ballerina, Boublon Gold, Borey, Borey Neo and Flint VSK.
