Herbicide Proponit: instructions for use, principle of operation and consumption rates
Anonim

Proponit herbicide belongs to the most effective drugs of selective action that have a depressing effect on weeds. It is insensitive to weather conditions, which makes it possible to reduce the frequency of its use to a minimum. The high toxicity of the pesticide requires strict adherence to the instructions, the rules for preparing the solution, consumption rates and safety precautions.

Composition, purpose and form of release of the drug "Proponit"

Proponit herbicide is based on propisochlor, an oily liquid that can dissolve in organic oils.There are 720 grams of active ingredient per 1 liter of the drug. Thanks to him, the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids stops, as a result of which the root system stops its development. After processing, a screen is formed in the upper layer of the soil, capable of re-influencing new weeds and destroying them at the stage of one leaf.

Proponit herbicide is available in the form of an emulsion concentrate packaged in 20 liter plastic canisters.

Working principle

"Proponit" was created as an alternative to "Acetochlor". The new substance is more effective, moisture-intensive, and therefore, even at high humidity, it exerts its inhibitory effect on weeds. It is used on crops of sugar beet, corn, rapeseed, sunflower, peas. The effect of Proponite does not decrease even at low temperatures.

The herbicide accumulates in weeds, penetrating into them through sprouts and roots, and leads to death.

Benefits of using

The advantages of Proponite include:

  • its high selectivity;
  • possibility of use without antidote;
  • efficient at high humidity and low temperatures;
  • large amount of weeds killed by herbicide;
  • opportunity to adjust processing time (before and after sowing);
  • increasing crop yields;
  • long duration of drug action;
  • compatibility with tank mix chemicals;
  • lack of resistance;
  • no crop rotation restriction.

Among the disadvantages of the drug:

  • high toxicity to bees, fish;
  • danger to humans if precautions are not followed;
  • prohibition for use in personal subsidiary plots.

Consumption rate

Spraying with Proponit is carried out once per season. After it, inter-row cultivation of crops is not recommended, so as not to destroy the screen in the soil. The consumption rate of the drug is from 2 to 3 liters per hectare. The working fluid is used in the amount of 200-300 liters per hectare. If the soil contains 3% humus, the dose of herbicide is increased.

Preparation of working solution

Immediately before the spraying of crops, a working solution is prepared. To this end, a series of sequential actions are performed:

  1. Measure the required amount of Proponite for one refill.
  2. Fill the sprayer tank 50% full with water.
  3. Pour mother liquor into tank.
  4. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Add water and stir again.
  6. Proceed to spraying in compliance with all rules and precautions.

How to use ready mix

According to the instructions for use, the working solution is used differently for spraying different crops:

  • for soybean, sugar beet, rapeseed - single treatment, before germination;
  • maize - pre-emergence or 3-4 leaf phase per crop.

Herbicide Safety

When using herbicide, precautions must be taken:

  • do not allow persons under 18 years of age, pregnant and lactating women, patients with contraindications to work with the drug;
  • sprayers are provided with protective clothing, shoes, goggles, respirators, aprons;
  • do not smoke, drink or eat at the processing site;
  • the dishes used to obtain the solution are washed, the water is drained into the tank, and it is put away in a warehouse in an inaccessible place;
  • at the end of the work, the clothes are cleaned and placed in the warehouse;
  • if a poisonous substance enters open areas of the body, eyes or respiratory organs, the victim is given first aid and sent to a medical facility.

Degree of drug toxicity

Herbicide "Proponit" refers to the second class of danger for humans and the third - for bees. Such preparations can be applied on an industrial scale under the supervision of plant protection specialists or trained workers.

Herbicides are not allowed for private households.

When processing, you should follow a few rules:

  • do not carry out work near apiaries (protection zone2-3 km);
  • should warn apiary owners about the upcoming spraying with herbicides and limit the years of bees to more than 4 hours;
  • required to mow the flowering weeds around the perimeter before working in the fields;
  • spraying is carried out in the morning or in the evening, in calm weather, with a wind speed of less than 3 m/s;
  • the drug is not used in water protection zones, near sources of drinking water, residential buildings.

Compatibility with other substances

To enhance the action of "Proponit" it is used in tank mixes with other pesticides:

  • "Pendimethalin";
  • "Prometrin";
  • "Dicamboy".

Mixing Proponite with alkaline chemicals is contraindicated.Before creating tank mixes, a compatibility test should be carried out using small volumes of components.

After mixing, there should be no sediment, foam, lumps or incomplete dissolution.

Terms and conditions of storage funds

The herbicide is stored in its original packaging in a special warehouse, separate from fertilizers, fodder, water and chemicals. The container must be tightly closed and have a factory label. At temperatures from -5 ⁰С to +35 ⁰С, the herbicide can be stored for three years from the date of production.

Means-substitutes

Analogues of the drug that have the same active ingredient as Proponit include herbicides:

  • "Acetal Pro";
  • "Labrador";
  • Pronto.
