Any gardener who grows vegetables in a greenhouse has to deal with plant pests. For this, insecticides are used. Consider the composition and form of release of the Clipper insecticide, the principle of its operation, purpose and use according to the instructions. Safety measures, compatibility with pesticides, terms and conditions of storage, similar preparations.

Composition and formulation of the insecticide

The Clipper manufacturer, CJSC FMRus, manufactures the drug in the form of a concentrated emulsion, with the active substance bifenthrin in a volume of 100 g per 1 liter.It belongs to the class of pyrethroids. Clipper has an intestinal and contact effect on pests. Liquid is produced in cans of 5 liters.

How the product works

Bifenthrin paralyzes insects, entering their body through the integument when the solution comes into contact with them or through the stomach. The advantage of the drug is that it acts not only on larvae and adult insects, but also on eggs. Works as a repellant as well.

What is it used for?

"Clipper" is used in agriculture for the processing of tomatoes and cucumbers growing in greenhouses. Kills whiteflies, spider mites and aphids. Also used on the apple tree, cotton and grapes from ticks, cereals - from the grain beetle and the bug of the turtle. Able to protect plants for 2-3 weeks. The effect of the drug begins to appear after 3-4 hours, the maximum effectiveness can be observed after 2-3 days.

Instructions for use

Greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers are processed during the growing season. Dosage rates of "Kliper" according to the instructions from the manufacturer (in l per ha):

  • from whiteflies - 1.2-2.4;
  • from ticks - 0.6-1.2;
  • from aphids - 0.4-0.8.

Since the insecticide is capable of destroying insect eggs, only 1 treatment can be carried out to kill the entire population. Liquid consumption during spraying - 1000-3000 liters per ha. The Clipper has a short waiting period - 3 days for tomatoes and 5 days for cucumbers. The exit of people for work is allowed after 3 days.

Safety precautions when working with the drug

"Clipper" insecticide refers to the means with the 2nd class of toxicity. For bees, it is toxic - class 1. It cannot be used during the mass summer of these insects. For fish and aquatic organisms, it is also toxic, so its use is prohibited in areas that are located near water bodies and fish farms.Does not bind in soil and does not enter groundwater.

Those who work with emulsion and solution should wear tight clothing to cover all exposed parts of the body. A prerequisite is a respirator and plastic goggles to prevent splashes from entering the respiratory tract and eyes.

You can not remove them while working with the tool. After finishing work, wash your face and hands. If the solution gets into the eyes or on the skin, be sure to rinse them with plenty of water.

If the solution is ingested, it is necessary to rinse the stomach yourself: drink a few tablets of medical charcoal and drink them with 1 liter of water. After 15 minutes, you need to induce vomiting. If symptoms of severe poisoning appear, seek medical attention.

Compatibility of Clipper with other substances

This insecticide can be mixed to co-treat plants with most insecticidal and fungicidal products that are neutral.

If you need to mix the Clipper with a drug, the general compatibility with which is unknown, you need to conduct a test: combine a certain amount of drugs in one container and check the resulting reaction.

If there is no violent reaction, no noticeable increase in the temperature of the solution, color change, precipitation, then you can mix them. If an undesirable reaction of substances occurs, do not mix the preparations; such a solution will not only not benefit the plants, but can also be harmful.

Terms and conditions of storage

"Clipper" can be stored in warehouses at low humidity and light, temperature from -12 °С to +35 °С. Store liquid only in original canisters with tightly closed lids. Do not place near food, medicines, pet food. Avoid contact with children and animals. Together with the insecticide, any agrochemical pesticides and fertilizers can be saved.

After the expiration of the storage period, the Clipper insecticide must be replaced with a new one, the prepared solution should be stored for no more than 1 day. In order not to waste the drug in vain, you need to prepare the solution only in the amount that is necessary for work within 1 day.

Means analogues

In agriculture, several preparations are used with the same active substance as Clipper: Zernospas, Semaphore, Vulkan, Pirinex Super, Talstar , "Procrop", "Imidalite". It is not used in private households.

"Clipper" produced by "FMRus" is an effective insecticide against common pests of tomatoes and cucumbers. Destroys insects in all types of development after a single treatment. Begins to act quickly, the duration of the protective effect is standard for insecticidal preparations.

The advantages of the drug are a small rate of application, low toxicity to humans, a short waiting period, which is why after its use in greenhouses it is possible to harvest in 3-5 days after processing.This is especially important for those who grow cucumbers, which need to be harvested almost every day. It is not recommended to use Clipper in greenhouses where bees are used for pollination, as it is toxic to these insects. The insecticide is well combined with other pesticides, the use of a joint solution increases the effect, reduces the time for processing, reduces the cost of plant care.
