Mechanism and spectrum of action

Florastar herbicide was developed for post-emergence treatment of grain crops, as well as corn, against dicotyledonous weeds and is characterized by a systemic effect. This means that after spraying, it penetrates the tissues of weeds through the leaves and spreads to all parts, including the root system.

The list of weeds, against which the chemical works successfully, includes all types of sow thistle and thistle, field bindweed and tenacious bedstraw. "Florastar" destroys both annual and a number of perennial dicot weeds.

The principle of action of a chemical agent is due to the work of the active components that make up its composition and belong to different chemical classes. The mechanism of work of 2,4 D (2-ethylhexyl ether) is based on the inhibition of the processes of photosynthesis of weeds. After penetration into the tissues of the grass, the hydrolytic breakdown of proteins occurs, which ultimately leads to a decrease in the intake of the main minerals - potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus - into the plants. As a result of this, after a while, water exchange is disturbed, the weed loses turgor and begins to fade gradually.

The second component of the herbicide - florasulam - is characterized by systemic action and penetrates into weeds both through the leaves and through the root system.Its main purpose is the inhibition of acetolactate synthase, which is the main enzyme necessary for the formation of leucine, valine, isoleucine.

The protective effect lasts until the next wave of weeds, as the drug does not create a herbicide screen on the ground.

The working solution is prepared before use so that the active ingredients do not lose their properties. Half of the total norm of clean and soft water is poured into the sprayer tank and the amount of the herbicidal preparation specified in the instructions is added. It is recommended to prepare the liquid for processing the field on specially concreted sites, away from housing.

Spraying of weeds is carried out when annual specimens reach a height of 5 to 10 cm, and a rosette forms in perennials. Safety
