Waste product of the wax moth: indications and contraindications for the use of PZhVM

Wax moth, or moth, is a dangerous pest that spoils beekeeping products. If this insect is wound up in the hives, then cracks in the combs immediately become noticeable, through which honey flows. However, the pest can also be beneficial. The waste products of wax moth larvae are used to treat various diseases, so some beekeepers specifically breed insects to control their population.

What is PZhVM?

Wax moth, or bee moth, is considered a pest that eats bee products and spoils honeycombs. Usually these insects penetrate those hives where there is weak protection, and also likes to settle in waste from the apiary or rooms where beekeepers store the collected wax.

The waste products of the wax moth are the excrement of insect larvae, which are collected when all the food has been completely digested by them several times. As a rule, it takes from 5 to 7 months. The resulting product has a maximum saturation of enzymes and biologically active substances. The main healing enzyme is cerase, which is characterized by anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.

Some people are wary of treatment with such a folk remedy, but in order to find out all the benefits and harms of PZHVM, it is worth understanding their chemical composition and effect on the human body.

Product composition

The poop of wax moth larvae has a healing effect due to its unique chemical composition. Moreover, the conducted studies have established that there are much more useful enzymes and biological substances in the excrement than in the body of the bee moth larvae themselves.The chemical composition of PZHVM has not yet been fully studied, however, under laboratory conditions, the following components were identified:

• enzymes, of which cerase is the most valuable;
• iridoids are secondary metabolites that can remove toxins from the body and lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood;
• flavonoids - plant polyphenols that increase immunity;
• steroids.

The latter are classified as biological substances of animal origin that have a beneficial effect on metabolic processes in the human body.

Benefits of wax moth waste product

It is possible to use folk remedies based on the waste products of wax moth larvae not only for diseases, but also for general strengthening of the body.

The beneficial properties of insect excrement include the following points:

The method of using PZhVM depends on the indications and purpose of use. If medicinal raw materials are used as prevention, the concentration should be lower than in cases of disease treatment.

The tincture is prepared according to the following recipe:

1. They take 70 grams of waste products of the larvae and fill them with a liter of alcohol. It is necessary to make medicine in a glass container.
2. Put the container in a dark place and stand for 2 weeks.
3. Periodically take out the container and lightly shake the contents.
4. After the specified time, the tincture is filtered and poured into a clean container.

The dosage of a natural medicine depends on the purpose of use and the person's body weight:

1. For treatment, take 1 drop of tincture per 1 kg of the patient's body weight and dilute the medicine in water. This volume is divided into 2-3 doses and drunk during the day.
2. If the tincture is used for prophylactic purposes, then 1 drop of medicine is taken per 6 kg of weight. Drink this amount in two doses - in the morning and in the evening.

In order for the treatment to be successful, you must adhere to the following recommendations:

1. It is necessary to purchase PZHVM either from trusted manufacturers, or from familiar beekeepers. A product bought on a spontaneous market will not be useful at best, and harmful at worst.
2. The course of treatment should not exceed a month. After that, you need to take a break for 40-50 days, and then repeat the therapy if necessary.
3. The first dose of the tincture should be done at half the dosage. If there are no signs of allergy, on the second day they drink the medicine, as indicated in the recipe.
4. Children under 14 years of age should only be given the product after consulting a doctor and adhering to half the dosage.

Contraindications and harm

Even the most useful product can harm the body if you do not follow the recommendations for use and neglect contraindications. Wax moth excrement should not be used in the following cases:

• individual intolerance to the product or a tendency to allergic reactions;
• children under 10;
• breastfeeding period;
• bearing a child with complications;
• tendency to low blood pressure;
• peptic ulcer in the acute stage.

When taking a tincture, it must be remembered that it has an effect only as part of complex treatment, it will not work to cure serious diseases with the help of PZHVM.

Terms and conditions of storage

The shelf life of the prepared medicine is 12 months if the tincture is stored in a dark and cool place.
