DIY apilift with dimensions: drawings of a hive trolley and instructions for making a lift

Anonim

On large apiaries, an apilift is needed. This is a small structure with a metal frame, which serves to lift and transport bee compartments. In the manufacture, wheels are provided for moving, as well as crossbars for gripping. Having the drawings, the necessary materials and tools, you can make an apilift with your own hands by choosing the required size.

Design and principle of operation

For beekeepers, the lift is a mechanism that facilitates their hard work. The principle of operation of such a design is simple. Clamps, which are located on both sides of the mechanism, fix the hive, with the help of a handle-lever, the load rises to the desired height.Then the apilift is transported, and the hive is lowered with a lever.

The main parts of the design include:

  • frame;
  • axis;
  • plugs or clips;
  • carriage that bears the main load;
  • handle-lever;
  • wheels with bracket;
  • bearings.

One of the frames acts as the main skeleton of the structure, the second frame provides support for the received load. The stability and reliability of the lift depend on their thickness. Apilift wheels should be wide, as they will ensure smooth transportation on uneven roads.

Lift Requirements

The trolley is used to transport large beehives, therefore, first of all, the design must ensure complete safety during transportation. When self-manufacturing, it is necessary to ensure that the apilift meets the following basic requirements:

  • load capacity up to 130 kg (the design must lift and transport several beehives at the same time);
  • lift height - 130 cm;
  • capture width - 35-55 cm.

Another characteristic that the lift should have is a descending accuracy of 1 cm. This will facilitate the work in the apiary, and the cart will not feel the weight of the load, since the pressure on the lever will be 1 kg.

Features of apilift manufacturing

Manufacture of apilift should take place sequentially, in several stages:

  • frame assembly;
  • manufacture of lifting block and reel;
  • mounting wheels;
  • fastening clamps and carriage.

During the manufacturing process, it is necessary to refer to the drawings so that the apilift as a result meets expectations. The sequence should not be ignored, otherwise the cart will not have the desired functionality.

Tools and materials

Before assembly, you need to make sure that the necessary materials are available:

  • square metal profile;
  • handle-lever (it is important to choose a product with a comfortable non-slip coating);
  • springs;
  • bolts, screws, nuts;
  • rope with a diameter of 3-4 mm;
  • pair of wheels;
  • bearings;
  • reel for cable tension.

From the tools you will need a welding machine, a grinder, a puncher, drills, as well as screwdrivers and a tape measure for measuring structural details.

Assembly process

The workflow for making the lift is as follows:

  1. Weld four pipes perpendicular to the main frame. Extreme beam from the sides flat.
  2. Make crossbars at the bottom and top according to the size of the pipes.
  3. Place the second beam at a distance of half a meter from the upper transverse pipe. The third must be placed 40 cm from the bottom.
  4. Cut through the opening for the bearings. Insert bolts around the edges, thereby eliminating the possibility of their flying out during transportation of the hives.
  5. In the third beam, make holes for the brackets.
  6. A handle-lever is welded on top of the beam, after which the frame can be considered finished.
  7. Put a 4 cm bearing on the upper frame at a distance of 13 cm.
  8. Fix fasteners from above. This will ensure the tether will fall out.
  9. On the left side, place the groove for the roller, as well as the cable. Its upper end must be fixed on the left sidewall.
  10. Place the coil on top of the second crossbar. In this case, you need to deviate from the frame by 12 cm.
  11. Insert the spool axle into the bearing.
  12. Screw on the rotary knob lever.
  13. Connect the lever with a cable to the spring.
  14. Make brackets from the profile, put the wheel axles.
  15. Fix the brackets on the frame.

Next, you need to assemble the carriage, put the clamps with adjustment. To avoid slipping, the inner surface of the forks must be ribbed. Clamps for hives are inserted into the pipe, a block for the cable is welded to the lower crossbar.

Use

Before starting work, it is necessary to check the structural components for compliance with technical requirements. Carefully inspect the place of fasteners, the fit of fasteners, the correct entry of fasteners into the grooves.

It is important to pay attention to the functioning of the bee trolley during operation. Especially the reliability of fixation, since it is difficult for insects to survive the stress associated with transportation. For transportation, you need to prepare protective clothing and a spray bottle to prevent the bees from attacking in case of a fall.
