Baitril is a medicine for turkeys that helps with many common and very dangerous infections.

"Baytril" - a drug for the treatment of turkeys, the German company Bayer.It is a 10% solution of enrofloxacin. "Baytril" for oral administration goes on sale packaged in glass bottles with aluminum caps. Baytril's carton and bottle display the brand name in the form of two colored curved stripes (green and blue).

Volume of vials: 100 milliliters and 1000 milliliters. The pattern of a chicken and a turkey on the dish makes it easy for the poultry breeder to find the product they are looking for. For small farms, sets of Baytril ampoules of 1 milliliter, 50 pieces each, are suitable. The color of the solution is yellow.

When used

"Baytril" is used for bacterial and viral infections, as well as fungal diseases in turkeys. The appointment of the drug is possible with repeated infection and infection with mixed pathogens. Causative agents of diseases such as:

Instructions for using "Baytril" for turkeys

Baytril is prescribed to turkey poults from the first days of life. In 10 liters of water, dilute 5 milliliters of the drug. Drink for 3-5 days. Salmonellosis, mixed infections and chronic forms of ailments in turkeys are treated with a double dose of enrofloxacin. "Baytril" is a weak antibiotic, therefore, having found painful symptoms in birds, it is used first of all. After using stronger drugs, Baytril will not work.

Side effects and contraindications

Additional painful symptoms after taking "Baytril" in turkeys are rare. Possible short-term liquefaction of the stool. If the disorder lasts more than a day, the drug is replaced with another one and a course is carried out with the birds to get rid of the problem.

The simultaneous use of "Baytril" is not allowed along with tetracycline drugs, chloramphenicol, Marek's vaccine, macrolides.

Enrofloxacin is ineffective in case of streptococcal infections. If you find any, you do not need to try to use it. Do not give enrofloxacin and for the purpose of disease prevention.

To breed offspring, use eggs from turkeys laid 2 weeks after treatment with Baytril. Meat and eggs from recovered birds are consumed if they are slaughtered no earlier than 11 days after the completion of treatment. Under other circumstances, it is allowed to feed the product to animals.

Storage conditions

"Baytril" is kept at temperatures from +5 °C to +25 °C. Shelf life - 3 years. The storage area must be dark and out of the reach of children. After opening the bottle, "Baytril" is guaranteed to retain its properties for 14 days, if left in a concentrated form in its original packaging.
