Farmayod: instructions for use for plants, composition and consumption rates

Plants, like people, are prone to disease, so they need the regular use of special means - pesticides. This group of drugs includes insecticides, acaricides, fungicides and herbicides, that is, substances that fight insects, pathogens and weeds. One of the promising ways to protect plants is the use of "Pharmaiod".

Composition and principle of operation of the tool

This is a concentrated disinfectant that works as a fungicide with bactericidal activity. With its help, most harmful microorganisms are eliminated. This means that Farmayod, or Farmoyed, can be widely used for spraying greenhouses, storage facilities, cleaning warehouses and vehicles, watering soil and spraying plantings.

The product contains a complex of ten percent active iodine and non-ionic surfactants. Thanks to this, Farmayod is able to fight a large number of pathogens that disrupt the vital functions of plants. These include the main bacteria, viruses and fungi that affect cultivated plantings.

Form of release and purpose of the drug

Farmaiod is sold in 100 ml plastic jars, 850 ml and 5 liter cans, and 85 ml glass bottles.

The tool is used for the following purposes:

  1. Preventive and curative measures against diseases of vegetable crops, shrubs, trees, ornamental plants, bulbs and tubers.
  2. Disinfectant treatment of soils with the destruction of up to 98 percent of pathogenic microorganisms.
  3. Processing tools and supplies throughout the growing season and in preparation for winter storage.
  4. Disinfection of greenhouses, greenhouses, warehouses and storage facilities.

The use of "Pharmaiod" is accompanied by a favorable side effect, which consists in reducing the number of insects, mites, nematodes, thrips and other pests.

Method of using "Farmayod"

Aqueous solution of "Pharmaiod" for plants is prepared immediately before use, as it is not able to be stored for a long time. The dilution standard is about 3-5 grams of concentrate per 10 liters of water. The finished solution is applied in different ways:

  1. Sprayed with a sprayer - manual or automated. Consumption - 1 liter of working composition per 10 square meters of landings.
  2. Irrigation of the soil at the rate of half a liter per plant (under the root).
  3. Drip irrigation. At the same time, the instruction requires that there are no metal parts in the system that corrode upon contact with iodine and products containing it.

Processing of inventory and premises is carried out with a one- or two-percent solution of Farmayod. Equipment and tools are disinfected by wiping with a cloth soaked in a solution of the agent, floors and tables are washed with a two percent solution, walls, ceilings, floors, glass and equipment are sprayed with the same concentration in the greenhouse. In this case, the room should be tightly closed for 1-2 weeks.

Crop crops are processed as follows:

  1. Pumpkin - with the development of 2-4 and 5-7 true leaves, 0.03% solution, then - as needed.
  2. Nightshade - treatment with 0.05-1% solution, three times during the growing season.
  3. Trees, shrubs, berries, vineyards - spraying with 0.05-1% solution 3-5 times.
  4. Roses, bulbous and other ornamental plants - treatment of rhizomes and bulbs with a 0.05% solution before planting, watering the soil and spraying on vegetative plantings.

Farmayod is also used for disinfection to wipe the tools used in pruning and grafting.

Safety precautions

A 10% stock solution and a 1% concentration of the working drug "Pharmaiod" do not cause damage when it comes into contact with the skin, but stain it, like medical iodine. If it gets on the mucous membranes, the substance leads to a burn, and if swallowed from 3 grams of active iodine, it causes death of a person.

Pharmaiod belongs to the 3rd hazard class, requires the following precautions:

  1. Wearing safety goggles, a respirator and rubber gloves.
  2. In case of contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
  3. If you feel unwell after using Farmayod or accidentally swallowed with signs of iodine poisoning, urgent hospitalization is required.

After using "Farmayod" it is necessary to take a shower and change into clean clothes, and dispose of the used containers and vessels. Throwing them in the trash is prohibited.

Compatibility with other substances

Iodine is a halogen that aggressively destroys harmful and beneficial microflora indiscriminately. Therefore, it is often combined with substances such as whey or Phytoplasmin, and the soil is also populated with beneficial microorganisms after spraying the soil. For these purposes, different versions of Baikal are often used.

If you wish to combine "Pharmaiod" with other insecticides and fungicides, it must be borne in mind that this is not possible with drugs with a pronounced alkaline reaction.

Compatible with other pesticides.

Storage rules

The main solution of the drug is able to remain active for up to 3 years, subject to the rules of use and storage. At the same time, the required amount of the agent for preparing the working solution can be repeatedly taken from the base tank. However, with air access to the working solution, it can be stored for no more than 24 hours, since iodine and surfactant complexes quickly decompose.

If you keep a one percent solution of "Pharmaiod" in a tightly sealed glass container at a temperature not exceeding +25 degrees Celsius and in the dark, it can be stored without damage for 12 months.

Unauthorized people, children, pets and farm animals should not have access to the place where Farmayod is stored. Containers for the product must be labeled, hermetically sealed, as iodine has the ability to evaporate. Such "Pharmaiod" loses its positive qualities and cannot be used as an effective plant protection agent.

Are there any analogues?

Replace "Pharmaiod" can be drugs of similar action:

  1. Betadine.
  2. Fitalovin.
  3. Fitosporin M.
  4. Fitoplasmin.

Proper use of the drug "Pharmaiod" can positively affect the safety of the crop, its full development and long-term storage.
