Why do not rush quail at home

Improper feeding

Stress can cause constant noise around the cage, such as running household appliances, the presence of animals in the room. Birds can fight, which also negatively affects the number of eggs.

Adaptation period

When transporting and changing their habitat, quails experience stress and stop laying. Over time, when they get used to it, which can take up to 2 weeks, the eggs appear again. Change of the male, to which the females are already accustomed. The birds quickly adapt to a new male - within a week - and start laying again.

Diseases

Settle the birds in cages in such an amount that it is convenient, the quails do not crowd, do not fight. If it is clear that the quails are not comfortable, you should try to get new cages and transplant extra quails into them. Regardless of the cost, acquiring new cells will pay off in the long run.

Clean the cages every day, change the water in the drinkers. Disinfect cages and inventory, this should be done once a month. Such measures will help to avoid illness.

Prevention measures
